My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

Ask yourself.

"Am I a deeply, intensely interesting person with a firey passion for movement, dance or circus arts, an extroverted personality, an enthusiasm for conversational sparring and an nigh-inexhaustible appetite for adventure?"

Next, consider whether you're just messaging me to comment on my flexibility. Consider whether a contortionist has likely heard this comment before. Briefly imagine how bored they might be with this line of conversation.

Are you kinky? Poly? Not-straight? Good for you. I don't much care unless you're actively critiquing your communities and considering ways they could be more intersectional and accountable.

If you saw "poly" and thought "My girlfriend and I....", stop. Why all the endless couples looking for a single, unattached, female third for their triad haven't just all connected with each other to create a large pool of female "thirds"who could go triad up as much as everyone pleases while their male partners go have bonding sessions over boning two girls at once is a mystery to me.

If you've actually made it through this text block, believe yourself to fit the descriptor in the initial paragraph, can sidestep all the following caveats outlined, and still want to message me, go ahead. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we don't already know each other.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend the vast majority of my time working towards putting my body in increasingly strange shapes. I also blues dance, perform acro-swing, train circus arts furiously, and spend much of my time upside down. I also teach all of the above.

If you message me asking for help with your flexibility or to learn circus, you will get my private lesson rates. I can only assume that anyone asking to "learn circus tricks" is interested in compensating me fairly for my time- otherwise, I'm forced to assume you're an entitled ass towards working artists.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being mid-air and upside down. Putting other people into the air and making them upside down. Screenprinting. Making metal do what I want it to. Empathizing. Telling stories that make you laugh too hard. Making art. Cooking damn good morning-after breakfasts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will not hesitate to call you out on something busted you just said. I don't put up with sexist, classist, anti-sex-worker, fatphobic, ableist, racist, and otherwise fucked up language. And I'm not shy about pointing it out.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-People. I'm incredibly extroverted and require lots of social-and-other-human-time.
-Art. I quickly start to lose touch with my sanity when I can't make art.
-Physicality. When I can't move my body in some way (dance, aerials, acrobatics), my world is an unhappy place.
-Sex. Good sex, specifically; I can do without bad sex.
-Independence. Any relationships I have need to account for a fierce independence to my own life.
-Community. Circus family, dance community, festy friends...the list of the worlds I run in and appreciate goes ever on, and I couldn't live without it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
When my next training session is and how I can be upside-down or midair as soon as possible. When I can manage to see everyone I adore next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Surrounded by a crowd of old friends and new strangers with a drink in one hand and a grin on my lips while being unnecessarily charming and witty. Possibly upside down.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a political radical with a penchant for long discussions about dismantling oppressive systems followed by getting tied up. You're fellow circus people, and want to stretch for hours before cuddling up to get lost in a movie. You're a traveler up for parties till dawn and glitter on every inch of your skin when we stumble into daylight. You're a sweet femme queer boy who wants to be my girlfriend. You can embody any of these traits and message me about with without being completely creepy.
