My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved from Flint, Michigan to Cincinnati in late April 2012, living outside of the Flint area for the first time in my life. I bought my first house June 2013, so I guess I'm staying! I have a cat who is playful and cuddly, a lovable lap dog, a huge, insane puppy, a job that I enjoy most of the time and good friends.

I'm geeky and silly and random. I want to eat healthy and local, but find it easier said than done. I was raised a Christian, but am now just confused. I support gay rights. When I get angry my tone has a distinct ring of ebonics (I am from Flint, after all.) I don't want kids and am not terribly interested in dating someone who has them, although I might make an exception for the right guy. I have several ear piercings and am interested in more. I am not adverse to men with piercings or tattoos, so long as he can still look presentable when necessary. I'm open to many ideas and love discussing important topics such as religion and politics. I would love to find someone who also enjoys this and can have a comprehensive discussion, not just defend their side of the aisle while they berate the other. I'm not much of a drinker and have basically outgrown the club scene. I've also grown out of sending inappropriate pictures via text.

I'm looking for a man who is silly, smart, sensitive, sophisticated and sexy. I honestly don't know who the ideal man is. He has common sense and is kind and intelligent. He appreciates the finer things in life but knows how to be silly. He is emotionally and financially stable. He is a bit of a geek and a bit of a hippy. He replies to texts. He isn't a serious religious advocate who is going to try to convert me. I don't have a comprehensive picture, but I'll know him when I see him. I don't need to be in a relationship to be happy and I certainly don't want to be in one that makes my life more complicated, but I'd like to find a good thing :)

To reiterate my body type description - I am a chubby woman. I don't say this because I'm insecure, I'm a beautiful chubby woman ;), but if you're not interested in some extra cushion you should keep looking.

I love music and going to concerts. I love to travel - some of my favorite destinations so far are Washington DC, England, Chicago, New Orleans and Paris. I like to go to sporting events, taking walks, going to the park, visiting new places, photography, museums, crafting, going to the movies, card and board games, festivals, theater, art galleries, markets, playing paintball, arcades, the ballet, poetry, and just hanging out at home. I enjoy playing mmorpg's, cooking, cleaning, decorating the house, playing with my pets, watching Netflix and reading at home. I like to think that I have a wide range of interests.

I used to play Roller Derby in Flint, but I'm out now with a jacked-up knee. Perhaps I'll become involved as an NSO if I can find a local team with a schedule that fits mine. If you enjoy Derby bouts, that's a major plus.

I appreciate your messages, but if you do send me mail please say something more interesting than "Hi, what's up?" Introduce yourself. Display an actual interest and demonstrate that you did indeed read my profile. Thanks.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time as an administrator for a financial group and actually really like my job. I went to school at the University of Michigan Flint for Anthropology and graduated with my Bachelors in 2010. I've considered getting my masters so I can teach Anthro at a community college but I have no interest in returning to school atm and am enjoying my job so see no reason to.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friend, procrastinating, seeing things from different perspectives, hand-eye coordination, being honest, listening.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair or eyes or the way I speak. My friends tease me for paying too much attention to grammar :-p

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, sunshine, my dogs, my cell phone, good music, quiet time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My friends, social issues, religion and theology, politics, human behavior, my future, my actions. Also lately: human rights, the institution of marriage, how to eat healthier, which house project to work on next, whether politics is just screwed regardless of who is in office.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing with friends, napping, watching Netflix, screwing around online, etc. Friday is just another night to me, not an excuse to go out and drink.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't like beef or beer.
