I am outgoing, playful, and affectionate.

My Self-Summary

I grew up in a fairly small town, but now live in the city and I think that's where I prefer to be... at least for now! I do however miss the open space, being able to see the stars, and being closer to the mountains.

I love to travel!

My family is one of the most important things in my life - my sisters are fantastic, I've always been close to my dad (my screen name comes from his nickname for me), and my mom is one of my best friends.

I thrive on laughter!

It's extremely important to me that I'm as happy at work as I am in the rest of my life, so developing a career that I love and am successful at is a strong focus for me, and I'm very passionate about continued personal growth and learning. It's also important to me that I'm economically self-sufficient, and I can't remember a time when volunteering was not a part of my life in some shape or form.

I'm very open-minded to most things... probably close-mindedness is the thing I am the least open-minded about!

I play piano and flute - unfortunately those two things got put on the back-burner a bit while I was in university, but I have been making a renewed effort to rekindle them this past year. I used to take ballroom dancing, which I might revisit someday, and I hope to develop my love of taking pictures into some level of "real" photography.

I like to keep busy, but am very rarely stressed (I think being finished university now helps!), and always make time for friends, family, and myself.

I try to live an eco-friendly lifestyle as much as possible, to shop/live in a sustainable manner, and am always interested in hearing people's knowledge and perspectives on these topics.

I like to learn new things, visit new places, try new food, meet new people, and overall just explore the world!

What I’m doing with my life

Working hard, playing harder :-)
I have a BCom from the UofA - marketing major, international business minor. After graduating I spent 7 months on a work exchange in Denmark, and since returning have been working full-time at the university in student recruitment & marketing. Maybe an MBA in my near future, we'll see how things go...

I’m really good at

Storytelling and laughing at life

The first things people usually notice about me

"Wow she talks fast"

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music, movies, & food:
My taste is pretty eclectic, I'll usually try anything once!

Books:
The Handmaid's Tale, Oryx and Crake, Lord of the Rings,Nineteen Eighty-Four, Brave New World, The Time Traveler's Wife, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter

The six things I could never do without

- People to talk to
- "Scrubs"
- Diverse weather/seasons
- Travel opportunities
- Reese Peanut Butter Cups

On a typical Friday night I am

Sometimes in, sometimes out, really depends on my mood and what is going on

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I like to watch "Scrubs" on my laptop in the bathtub

You should message me if

You'd write something witty or interesting (and can keep the net-speak to a minimum!)
