Hi. I'm Laurie. I'm a simple girl who likes simple things: Quiet
evenings on the couch watching tv (I love Family Guy, Lost, etc). Dinners at the
local diner. The occasional romantic gesture for no reason. I'm a
low-maintenance softee. But that doesn't mean I don't love special
nights out too!
I LOVE to laugh. (Jeez, that sounds corny... doesn't everyone?)
I've always been attracted to men with great senses of humor. A
particularly witty/sarcastic remark can sometimes leave me giggling
an hour later.
I'm 100% Irish, so
the sun and I aren't exactly buddies. But being Irish does mean
that I come "equipped" with light brown hair and really pretty blue
eyes. It's a trade-off I guess. :) I'm also Catholic.... partially lapsed.
Ugh. It's so hard to talk about yourself in these things. So I
guess I'll be blunt... I'm looking for my best friend and partner
in crime. Just have fun with me and hopefully the rest will simply
fall into place.

My eyes. I have really pretty blue eyes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm a big Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, and Dean Koontz fan. I
like to read, but for pleasure. You will NOT catch me reading War
& Peace or some thick technical manual (I don't need no fancy
book learnin'!). I prefer books to be an escape from the
everyday.
I like all kinds of music. I grew up on Country music (Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc), and I can still tolerate most of it! But I tend to lean more towards alternative rock (Linkin Park, Incubus, etc). I also love fun 80's pop. I'm all over the place. Just no blues or angry rap.
My taste in movies is like my music.... varied. Dramas, comedies, action... I tend to like it all. My faves are "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Princess Bride", "Sense and Sensibility", "Amelie", "Mr and Mrs Smith", "Hairspray", and "Rent".
On TV, you can catch me watching Lost, House, Dirty Jobs, Pushing Daisies... among others.
Food... I tend to be a picky eater. I've gotten much better at trying new things though, so I'm not hopeless! :) I do tend to drift back to old (safe) favorites.... a nice rare steak, chicken parm, etc.
