I am geeky, introverted, and cynical.

My Self-Summary

Let's see.. Father, atheist, occasional philosophizer...

(Is this 100 characters yet?)
(Guess not.)

Lately all of my writing has been in 140 character bursts. And a lot of it has been in haiku form. I don't know what that signifies.

I often think that if it wasn't for MouseHunt, I wouldn't have a Facebook profile at all.

Currently living in Sault Sainte Marie. I should be living in the Guelph/GTA area by Feb 1.

What I’m doing with my life

This & that. You know how it goes. I spend a lot of time returning videotapes.

I’m really good at

Procrastination, snoozing alarms, this, that, & the other thing. (But I really excel at the other thing.) I'm pretty good at making a sturgeon face.

The first things people usually notice about me

My bald pate, or maybe my belief that "wrinkly" is a fashion style, or maybe my tattoos, or maybe that I'm looking away.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Mostly newer sci-fi - Reynolds, Stross, Hamilton. Dawkins. Ayn Rand. Just started The God Delusion by Dawkins.

Movies: The Matrix, American Psycho, Fight Club, 300, Gran Torino, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Star Trek (the new one), V for Vendetta, The Count of Monte Cristo. I own (and have watched) a copy of Zardoz, and a box set of Kubrick flicks. There are a number of "classic" films I have never seen (ie: The Godfather, Jaws, Taxi Driver, Scarface), which I've been meaning to fix.

Music: Clutch, Kyuss, Brant Bjork, NIN, Tool, Truckfighters, Greenleaf. The surprise bands I ended up enjoying this summer was Birdy Nam Nam and Black Light Burns. My "2009 Summer Album" would be "Local Angel" by Brant Bjork.

Someone once said that Clutch was sent to Earth to save us from the sin of not rocking out. I couldn't agree more.

Food: Sushi, Taco Bell. I recently cooked battered bacon. I can cook (and I use the term loosely) a damn mean peanut butter pie.

TV: Usually on for background noise. Shows I watch: Leaf games, Mythbusters, Colbert, and Iron Chef. I have little love for situational comedy or drama. However, I'm currently obsessed with Mad Men.

The six things I could never do without

My son. Everything else is transitory (excluding air, etc. And maybe Pumpkin Spice Lattes.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Haikus. 70's hairstyles. Twitter. Evolution. Genetic algorithms. Star Trek. Superpowers. Politics. New media. Mischief. Zombies. The endless variations of "Kirk vs Picard".

I bet the main export of Kashyyyk was knitted sweaters.

On a typical Friday night I am

Watching a movie, or reading, or goofing off on the internet.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

The last time I had dinner with a woman she left for a leg waxing appointment.

You should message me if

You're curious about me. Or if you want to grab a coffee sometime. Or not.
