I am geeky, noisy, and slightly introverted.

My Self-Summary

I'm definitely a geek in most respects and almost closet-goth, if goth subculture wasn't so, well, silly most of the time. I play a couple of instruments badly, and pretty much mainly listen to industrial and electronic music. I love sci-fi and think the new Battlestar Galactica is possibly the best series I have ever seen (well, that or Heroes). Typically I tinker with technology and gadgets a lot.

What I’m doing with my life

I work in Information Technology at a higher-ed institution and quite like it.

On occasion I record some music and dream of playing my stuff live at some point.

I’m really good at

Trivia games, puzzles, word games, etc; working on computers (networking, specifically) is really my only marketable skill.

The first things people usually notice about me

No idea. Possibly the lack of height compared to most males? Maybe they pick up that I'm horrid at making idle chit-chat usually

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

A) Frank Herbert's original Dune novels; Rand Miller's Myst trilogy; Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 'trilogy', most Dean Koontz

B) The Fifth Element, Serenity, The Saint, Boondock Saints, Swingers, Event Horizon, Seven, Fight Club, The Abyss, Bladerunner, Shaun Of The Dead, Wargames, The Jackal, Leon/The Professional, The Thomas Crowne Affair, Indiana Jones trilogy, all things Kevin Smith, anything by Pixar, anything with Bruce Campbell, zombie movies, sci-fi in general

C) Nine Inch Nails, Front Line Assembly, KMFDM, Vast, Celldweller, Oomph, Gravity Kills, Stabbing Westward, Zeromancer, VNV Nation, Gary Numan, Razed In Black, Hate Dept., Eisbrecher, Fear Factory, etc.

D) Currently trying to quit being a fast-food junkie, which I think has been going fairly well. I normally tend to go for Italian, but I'm pretty open about food.

The six things I could never do without

1) Music

2) Tea

3) some means of transportation

4) glorious Apple products

5) ...?

6) PROFIT!

One day I'll think of less BS answers to this one...

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Music, girls, computing, why most people in the world seem to be idiots. Not necessarily in that order

On a typical Friday night I am

Thursday is normally my night out, so typically I'm at home on Fridays.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I might be developing into a slight work-aholic.

You should message me if

Really, if anything I've mentioned is of interest to you, feel free; or if you're just bored and feel like it. Or perhaps you feel up to a game of Trivial Pursuit. I do ask that you don't use "2", "u", "r", etc., in place of real words though.

However, if you're likely to tell me that you don't think I'm a geek or if you think such terms to be derogatory, then I'm probably not the guy for you.
