My self-summary Propose an edit
So, I was sorely disappointed with my previous self-summary. It's
not a fun or easy thing to describe yourself in a couple of
paragraphs. Still, here I am trying again. I decided to do it this
time with some "one-liners". Simple, declaratory statements about
myself seemed the right road to take. It takes away ambiguity and
gives me the freedom to say as many things as I want to about
myself without having to organize it. Also, this method will
probably cut-down on the bullshit factor. I love...: Reading until
three in the morning. Sitting outside, drinking coffee and
conversing when the weather is nice. Learning new instruments, even
if I initially suck at them. Falling asleep to the sound of the
ocean. Taking care of a garden, whether flower or vegetable.
Christmas music, even though I'm not religious. When a poem finally
falls onto paper without too much strain. Petting my cat until she
drools. Smoking and listening to relaxing music with
friends/significant other. Painting my toenails red. Hearing old
stories about my grandparents/parents/uncles/aunts... you get the
drift. Studying sociology until my brain feels fried. Hearing from
an old, dear friend. Playing cello in the nude. Sticking a bare
foot out the window of a car on warm days. (No matter how stupid it
looks.) Singing along to music from musicals while no one is
watching. A cigarette and a cup of coffee on crap days. Putting on
stage make-up. Singing in the shower. The feel of sheets after I
just shaved my legs. Sex when high. People who laugh because I'm
laughing. When people first start putting pumpkins out in the Fall.
Fall in general. Dressing up to go the theater. That snap-dragons
kinda look like vaginas. (Less than an orchid, I know.) Having a
black, turtle-neck sweater that fits comfortably year after year.
When Winter finally releases its grip. Listening rather than
talking. Finding a great poem. Trying to find a place to eat at two
in the morning. Wikipedia, even knowing that it's not reliable.
When I feel comfortable enough around some one to come over with
out a shower. Talking with my simply charming sister. A roar of
laughter when I'm on stage. Still having my mother braid my hair,
even if it looks dorky. Watching people with good-natured interest.
Playing video-games I'm really crappy at with friends and usually
laughing until I almost pee in the process. Laughing until I almost
pee in general. Feeding my neighbor's horses apples. Reminiscing.
People who laugh at their own cheesey jokes when no one else does.
When I feel sure and in control of my own destiny. I hate...: Wet
socks... with a passion. People who say mean things for the hell of
it. Dreadfully cold weather. Dark soda. When people make fun of my
accent. Bullies. Elitists. Thinking too much about the future.
Shaving my legs. That I do it anyway. Reading pretentious moral
philosophers. People who are naturally argumentative. Any math past
Geometry. Self-righteousness. Faking an orgasm. Flat pillows.
Hiccups in class. Rain at the beach. The day after Christmas. Being
forced to watch reality TV. The five messages I get a day with some
variation of "liks ur boots". PETA. (Stick that in your pipe and
smoke it.) Cruelty to animals. Finding grime in the bottom of my
coffee cup after I drank the whole cup. Losing my keys, my purse,
my tweezers, anything. Neck pain/headaches. Having to pee in public
restrooms. Feeling helpless. Male-enhancement commercials. Tennis
shoes. Dealing with up-tight people. Throwing-up... severely.
Genuine racists. Disappointing others. Chauvinistic personalities.
Narcissism. Early morning sex. Weeds. Angry atheists. Blackberry
Winter. (Cold spell in May.) Feeling completely lost in a
conversation.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Well, I've had a major change! My original major was English, but I
decided to be fulfilled in this world I need to help others. I'm
currently attending college to get a BA in Social Work. I hope to
go into the Peace Corp afterwards. Hopefully I'll be in a position
to be able to make that decision in the future. Afterwards, I plan
to get my Masters.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Opening people up to new ideas and ways of life. Also I'm really
great at picking things up with my toes. As far as my other
talents/hobbies, I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades. The only thing
I'm really close to being "good" at is poetry, and that is of
course debatable.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
The first thing people usually notice about me is my great distaste
towards being judgemental. I'm an open person towards all walks of
life. Well, maybe that's not a whole truth. The first thing people
usually notice about me (and sometimes even have the guts to
comment on), is my chest size. It's unfortunately been the topic of
discussion since my erm... growth spurt at fourteen.

Paper and pen, my cat, friends, cello, family, and books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Alot of quirky and minor observations and questions. I love finding
those small, interesting gems in people. Also, I'm a bit of an
idealist, so I have a hard time having a rooted system in the
present. Though sometimes thinking about the future is pleasant, it
usually fills me with quite a bit of anxiety. So, trying to fix
that problem.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Hard to tell. I'm either a hermit or out on the town. I don't keep
a very habitual schedule. So I'm either reading a
book/writing/playing on the interwebz, or out at dinner/smoking it
up with a small group of friends. I don't like large parties very
much.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I'm a blossoming Dominatrix with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Interesting mix, right?
