My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to Boston about 7 years ago. I love the hustle and bustle of the city which suits me because I am like the energizer bunny. Somehow, I balance my old soul with a youthful presence. I also like to push myself out of my comfort zone finding new hobbies, foods, music, and interests in general. I like to stay busy, but I am looking forward to the day where I can enjoy quiet time with someone special.

I am looking for a partner in crime for spontaneous weekend getaways to new cities, beaches, or quiet places, new adventures, exploring restaurants and hot spots, activities, and for someone who'd like to balance this out with nights in cooking dinner with a bottle of wine followed by a movie, music, or good conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just started a new interior design job outside the city designing corporate interiors. Translation...I make offices pretty. I traded in my t pass for a car and the corporate culture for the start-up feel. I love that my coworkers have become some of my closest friends and we can girl talk all day long. I am passionate about what I do for a living and love going to work every day. Sometimes I wonder if I am having too much fun at work.

In my free time, I catch classes at the gym, spend time with family, and work on my side projects. I spend a lot of time building up my side business and would love to be my own boss someday. Currently, I am working on a huge project where I am in change of all the branding and graphics for a new non-profit to build a special needs park. No pressure there.

I read in someone's profile once that they wanted to be half of a power couple and I have to agree.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Smiling. Smilings my favorite. :) (Point if you can name this movie)

I am good at keeping busy, sitting in traffic (given I have Spotify), lending an ear, enjoying the little things, making the most out of life, and refilling ice cube trays.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People think I am either Irish or younger than I am. Even though I look that way and have a very Irish last name, I can assure you I am neither Irish nor lying about my age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am a sucker for a good romantic comedy or romantic indie film like the Proposal, Like Crazy, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, and or anything with Rachel McAdams or Kristen Belle.

I don't have much TV time, but would include Orange is the New Black, Revenge, and Portlandia. I actually just started Breaking Bad to watch at the gym.

I play music almost constantly so my taste is all over the place. I listen to singer/songwriters, indie and EDM as well as some oldies. My list could go on forever, but a few of my favorites include Sara Bareilles, Ben Rector, James Vincent McMorrow, Adele, and Sam Smith. This doesn't even cover my love to 90s R&B, 90s/2000s pop.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Aside from friends, family, and my career

Music (Spotify/headphones)
My sister/brother-in-law
Zumba Tuesdays where I've been called "Ms. Thang!"
Sunshine, sunscreen, and summers on the ocean
Bluetooth in my car
Pens and Trace paper
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
1. Finding the perfect lyric to describe my day, mood, or situation.
2. Am I making the most out of my time and how I can find a better balance to maximize my time between the gym, commutes, my day job, my freelancing work, and social life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Although no Friday night is typical, most commonly I am spending it with my sister/brother-in-law, back home visiting my parents for the weekend, out with friends, visiting family on the Cape, or enjoying a rare Friday night in with a glass or two of wine and a home cooked meal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At least 50% of the time I shop at gap, other shoppers will ask me questions thinking I work there. My usual response is "Sorry, I don't work here." They then seem to feel bad for the mistake so I follow it up with "It's okay. I get that all the time."

I like to read profiles from the bottom up because I like to read the clever things people write in their "You should message me if" section.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you love what you do for a living, like to keep busy/active, want a new climbing partner, if you are a genuine fun loving person, if you understand the importance of family, and if you would enjoy going on a 6 mile walk just to get outside and enjoy the weather. When you do, tell me why you love your job.
