I was raised in the Midwest and tend to have typical midwestern values of having a good work ethic, valuing financial stability leaning towards conservatism, and being a bit stoic and reserved outwardly. However, I am a bleeding heart socially and believe strongly in having a safety net for "the least of these." I am warm, kind-hearted and passionate privately and will cuddle up next to you as much as you want me to.
I value my education and am proud of what I have accomplished. I am also proud of being direct in my speech - sometimes even shockingly so (just ask my boss). I am not always politically correct, though. You will know where you stand with me and where I stand on pretty much every subject that I care about.
It's important to me to like my job (I currently do) but I am not a workaholic...I know when to leave the office.
I love to read and don't tend to watch much TV.
I am divorced (amicably). I tend to get along better with men who have had significant long-term relationships (not necessarily married but marriage-like).
