Just your average socially inept gamer/anime/computer nerd. If you
want to know anything else, ask me. I also love to sing, but I
can't do it for anyone's sake. ;) I have also become a rather
decent fencer, and go to nearly every meeting, and have recently
been elected to be the treasurer of EWUFC or the Eastern Washington
University Fencing Club. I tend to not say the right thing in any
conversation, and this has not helped me much. I have a kind of
twisted sense of humor, but there are definitely some things that
do NOT amuse me. Killing or harming of animals in any way, murder,
be it justified or otherwise, and stupid humor. I like to be my own
man, but I am also pretty big on the philanthropist scene. I once
chose to go without dinner so I could give mine to a local that was
down on his luck. If he was just playing me, it matters not. Just
the feeling of being useful, helping someone, or just getting
someone to smile or laugh will make my day anytime.
I'm now halfway through Basic Combat Training for a United States
Infantryman. In about 9 weeks, I will be an official member of the
frontline fighting force for the USA. Not something you'd imagine a
nerd like myself to do, but that's how I live my life. I like to
challenge preconceived notions.
I'm now halfway through my first Army Combat Deployment, and now
have a girlfriend. :P
Update.... So yeah, i am single again... Woohoo. Bored outta my
mind too. Now stationed in kentucky. Still trying to figure out
what i want out of life. Until that happens.... I don't know what,
but that doesn't mean I am going to stop searching. I just don't
know what I am searching for just yet. Anyone is welcome to try and
I am energetic, variable, and boisterous
What I’m doing with my life
I am a Specialist in the US Army, currently assigned as an RTO,
which is a radio/telephone operator, leaving me responsible for all
communications between my platoon and the rest of my unit.
I am also currently studying the Dari language, so that I can be
more proficient in social relations with the people of Afghanistan
that I will be interacting with while there.
I am considering putting in an application for West Point, as soon
as my Dari schooling is complete.
I’m really good at
I am pretty good at playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and have
always wanted to learn how to play the actual instrument. In fact,
I have taken it upon myself to try to learn. I bought a guitar a
couple years ago, and am trying to teach myself to play. I am
decent at Halo
, and other FPS
's. I am pretty good at some
's and RPG
's as well. Although RPG's don't really take
that much skill. The RPG's that I play are generally as follows:
EVE Online, and Star Trek: Online. I also play the Ace Combat
series rather well, all of which pretty much labels me as a gamer
nerd. But hey! I am proud of it! And if you have anyone that you
think would be a decent challenge for a good Guitar Hero player, I
say, "BRING IT ON!". It's really boring when all the people around
you play on medium...but I still know how to have fun! I always
find a way to make things seem a lot better than they are, much at
the behest of the people around me....and much to their annoyance.
:) I have seen enough damage done to the world by people who leave
feelings like anger or frustration taint their actions. As such, i
try to remain positive, no matter the issue, which unfortunately, a
lot of people don't seem to understand, so they get annoyed.
The first things people usually notice about me
My outgoing nature, I would say. I tend to do things very
spontaneously, without regard for any other consequences. This has
gotten me into a decent amount of trouble, but has not severely
killed any relationships, or friendships.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am a large fan of Metallica
, and other hard rock and metal
bands. I am also a fan of many country bands. To be honest, there
are very few kinds of music that I don't like. I like many movies,
mainly based on their subject matters, or their series connections.
I like The Patriot
, all the Star Trek
series movies, and
others like that. I liked the Harry Potter
series, but have
much broader horizons; I also have read the Twilight
but am not a devotee of it. To be honest (and I know I said that
before), I will probably enjoy just about anything that someone has
given me to eat. I often will make strange combinations of some
foods, for example, whenever I go to a place where I have to get a
fountain drink, I shall get what my friends and I refer to as a
"suicide", which is getting a combination of all the available
choices on the machine. Another interesting thing I have eaten (and
actually enjoyed) was a combination of tuna and peanut butter. :)
The six things I could never do without
My laptop, sleep, air pressure, internet access, fighter
sims/explosions derived thereof, and cheeseburgers!
Surprisingly enough, i find that i am actually quite capable of
going without cheeseburgers, having been on a diet of precooked
food and processed meat in MREs while I was deployed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life. And my apparent lack thereof. I also spend a lot of time
thinking about the logical (or illogical, depending) nature of
religion. I have had many fascinating conversations about the views
of those with other religions, and learned many things about myself
due to this time spent.
On a typical Friday night I am
I would either be hanging out with my friends, playing videogames,
mostly Xbox, or chilling in my room in the barracks, playing
whatever game suits my mood at the time. Recently, it's been a lot
of Borderlands 2, but I am currently excited and anxious for the
release of Assassin's Creed III, in a few days, and the subsequent
release of Halo 4.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have anger issues, which I inherited from my father. Knowing
this, I have spent so many years ashamed of myself, believing that
every single emotion of my own was somehow the wrong thing to feel.
I won't lie, I may be broken, but I am far from irreparable.
You should message me if
You are willing to deal with a young man's ramblings, and don't
mind losing focus to an episode of Mythbusters or Bones, once in a
