My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love to laugh and make others laugh as well. I studied psychology, but I have no interest in listening to people's problems. I want to be a mad scientist so I can play with brains... muuuahhahaha. I just moved to Portland for grad school, which is the first step in my mad scientist agenda...

I'm very interested in exploring all that Portland has to offer. My goals before the end of the year are to see the beach, eat the awesome food I keep hearing about, try the local beer, and consequently hike as much as possible. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do translational research (ask me more if you're interested) which makes me kind of a nerd. But there is a huge misconception about how much fun nerds really are. I have never met a group of people more rowdy than some scientists!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm starting to pick up the hobby of making sangrias. A couple friends and I have "sangrioffs" every month, and I've won a few times. It's a nice creative outlet while still being able to drink a little :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sarcasm and my goofy facial expressions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My most favorite book of all time as of now is the Tommyknockers.
Favorite movie is the Silence of the Lambs. After that, it's Sooper Troopers, the Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
Favorite shows... documentaries to satisfy my inner nerd, sitcoms. (Love Always Sunny, Portlandia, Parks and Rec, ... And yes... A lot of new girl )
I like a lot of different types of music, from country to hip hop to rock to 1950's jazz.
I love Italian food, most fruits, and most vegetables.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Internet... I love information at my finger tips
2. Humor
3. Knowledge
4. Beaches
5. My snake
6. Family and Friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Teleportation type stuff, zombie attacks, aliens.. Im not a sci-fi nerd, but aliens completey terrify/intrigue me. Not the eat your face off aliens, but the mind control, steal you in your sleep kinda aliens...hence one of my favorite books being the Tommyknockers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either with my family, friends, or by myself. I'm not huge into the party scene, so it's usually something low key. Neighborhood bars, front porches.. That sort of thing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm completely afraid of rats, even though I have a snake and I do research with rodents.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You just want to hang out with someone, have someone to pass the time with... If you are willing to indulge in a little convo past "how are you?". If you play a instrument (drums, guitar, brass, and fiddle are my favs) and wanna show off. Do neighborhood bars, rides on some back road, hikes with awesome scenery, or front porch/garage music sessions with some beer on a Friday night, and are lookin for someone to share that with.
