My self-summary
I bounce around town in high heels and my bicycle, usually simultaneously. I do not let the judgment of others or weather deter me from wearing what I want on my feet any particular time and I definitely pull it off. I try to have the same integrity with all things I believe in (especially matters less vain than high heels). I admit it is tough, but it is the way I was raised. I am a little leery of those who claim to be 100% unflappable, but it is a good goal.

I have lived in San Francisco for almost 10 years. Previously, I found living in Boston less than perfectly cromulent. So, in the chilly winter of 2003, I left there in a Miata that my former boss sold me for a tiny sum as a parting bonus and drove around the country for 9 months seeking snow, sun, and good times. This took the form of snowboarding, visiting friends, checking out cool architecture and national parks, hiking, camping, backpacking solo in the Sierras for a couple of months, and mainly just camping around and looking at stuff and talking to people.

I found the greatest number of smart and funny people in San Francisco, so I stayed here.

While that extended trip was really fun, my life has a more steady and urban center. I work and spend a whole lot of time with my friends; I go to the gym, do yoga, go running, and am generally really active.
What I’m doing with my life
I am an architect. At this time I design extremely high-end residences, though a recent job had me designing churches, which in itself was pretty awesome for the most part, too. I love putting buildings together and working with clients, consultants, and builders. It is all rewarding, from solving complex coordination issues to the more minute detail or client concern. I also love thinking about all of these things and about the process. I do love what I do. It is creative and analytical and lively and engaging.
I’m really good at
Staying up late.
Driving fast!
Surrounding myself with great people.
Appreciating those around me.
Letting my phone go unchecked when I am hanging out with you.
Letting traffic do its thing without grating on me.
Accepting people as they are.
Making myself laugh.
Admitting when I am wrong.
Revealing the humor that is already there.
Laughing at myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
Gosh, according to all of the fellows on 6th Street, it must be my red hair.

Bubbly water and espresso
Exercise, bike, and legs that move independently of each other

Brain activity

(that is 6-ish?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future-tense. And I am not talking about vacation planning. I do that, too, but I am mostly talking about daydreaming. Probably 90+% of my thoughts are about the future in a what-if sort of way. Rest assured, I am not flaky. I have all kinds of my acts together, but I do indulge mostly in fantasy rather than lamenting about the past or analyzing previous conversations. And that takes all kinds of forms. I think that is why I am a designer. I sit around thinking all day about what-if and then working it out. Designing buildings and spaces helps me act on the whole daydreaming thing on a client's behalf. I think it is a nice system. Also, I think in dialog, but that is a whole other long matter. So, yeah, clearly I think about thinking, too, but I try not to think too much about thinking. There are some loops in there to be weary of. Heh.
On a typical Friday night I am
with my extremely intelligent, creative, and funny friends pretty much anywhere.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 32–48
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You have funny things to write.

And only message if your pictures have more than just a torso. As much as I like torsos, they only have meaning when attached to faces. And faces do not need to be of a particular sort of face. Just having a face is a good start as far as I am concerned.
