Like nearly everyone, I am a work in progress. Voracious reader,
nature, music, dancing, food, sports, movies, arts, and life lover.
Think of me as a child-like sage...lol. Ask me what that means if
you are interested. I am left of center politically, yet I feel
that everyone deserves as much freedom as they can handle. I am
loyal, honest, aware, compassionate, playful, sensual, sexual,
artistic (writing and dancing), creative, witty, sensitive, and
smart enough that I realize that I have still a lot to learn in my
life. I am not religious yet spiritual. My attitude is gratitude
for the blessings in my life every day. Follow the Golden Rule and
be aware of Karma, then, everything will work itself out, I feel. I
get along with nearly everyone I meet as I find people interesting
and sometimes amusing as heck! I have lived in New England, Boston,
and New York City...now, I'm here in Western NC. I think deeply
about many and various subjects.....from politics, to science, to
the state of society, to why my favorite shows keep getting
cancelled! Oh, of course, the endless quest: How to make the
perfect cheeseburger! Feel free to ask me anything and I will do my
best to reply.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I am working on starting a marketing business. Along
with that, I am doing a workout program with a kettlebell several
times a week so that I can shed tonnage and get healthier. I've
been doing it for over a month and I no longer have pain in my
knees, so, I am on the right path. Thinking about how I want my
immediate future in terms of places I want to be and people that I
want to know. Manifesting what you desire is very very cool!
I’m really good at
Listening intently so that I figure out what you REALLY trying to
say! Biting my tongue so that I don't say something sarcastic
(nearly all the time!) Being a great friend. Being a giving lover.
Having interesting conversations. Giving back and foot massages.
The first things people usually notice about me
My great tan (lol), my size, my easy-going manner. Strangers turn
to me and talk to me in public a lot. Oh, and how I suppose to look
like James Earl Jones. :D
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read everything to nonfiction to Oriental philosophy to
biographies to science fiction to spy thrillers. I think the only
genres I don't read are romances and Christian fiction. Favorite
authors: Stuart Wilde, Jim Butcher, Richard K Morgan, Matthew
Reilly, Sun Tzu, Andrew Vachss, Walter Mosely, Lee Child, Jay
Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Kevin Hearne, Richard Kadrey, Kenneth
Robeson, Warren Murphy, John Connelly, Jeffrey Deaver. Avid movie
buff. As long as it's GOOD-I will watch a movie-go out or on the
couch. Best movie I ever saw-Citizen Kane. My favorite comedy-The
Producers (original version) with Bringing up Baby right behind it.
I love action-adventure movies. First Die Hard I believe is the
best action flick ever. Thriller/caper movies are great also. The
Usual Suspects is a classic...I watch it everytime it pops up on
cable. My favorite romance is Casablanca. So many great lines, the
atmosphere...Bogie at his best! Of course, every Fred Astaire movie
is wonderful. How did that man dance like that!!?? I don't
particularly care for horror-too much gore nowadays-but the
original Evil Dead I enjoyed. Music: I listen to everything EXCEPT
country and polkas. R & B, reggae, classical, dance, Disco
(natch), SOME rap, electronic (got techno on right now), some pop,
world. Isley Bros., Sade, Chic, Michael Franks, Roxy Music, the
Clash, Duran Duran, Rick Ross, Pet Shop Boys, Mozart, Brahms, Daft
Punk, Kraftwerk..... My favorite cuisines are: American, Chinese,
and Italian. I am a die-hard omnivore. Steak, pork loin or chops,
chicken, lobster, and a nice swordfish steak broiled with some
lemon and butter. I am very picky in that I HATE onions, peppers,
squashes, and most greens. Been like that as a child and my taste
buds haven't changed..lol. I am open to trying new foods, though. I
prefer grilled, broiled, or baked foods as deep-fried doesn't agree
with my tummy.
The six things I could never do without
Besides the necessaries? (air, water, food, shelter, etc?)
Access to a good library and/or the Internet.
My sense of humor.
Love from my people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Many and various things....it depends on the day and what's going
on at the moment(s). I'll share a truth with you.
In life, you'll have more questions than answers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Varies....watching TV, Reading, surfing the Web, chatting with a
friend, or stargazing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That you will have to make the effort to KNOW me so that you can
have access to my private thoughts-SOME of them! :)
You should message me if
you are interested in my profile and photos and are open to
chatting and possibly getting to know each other. Please DO NOT
bother if you are playing games, a bot, a guy instead of a woman
(100% straight here), a die-hard Teabagger or you're waiting for
the Rapture, got more baggage than Samsonite, or a drama queen!!
Let me repeat that. NO DRAMA QUEENS!!!!!
Thank you for your support!!!! :D
