I just got done watching Bill-O on Fox News. He was crowing on about how "Americans are basically good people", and "this is the best nation in the world". This was in response to Obama's "socialism". Obama wants the richest people to take some of the their wealth and pay for your medical bills (yeah, I'm cutting through the bullshit right now) so you can use that money to buy overpriced food and pay your gas bill and your light bill. Thanks, Bill, I almost had a decent life there. Thanks for making sure that those poor rich people aren't taxed on my  account. My below minimum wage check will manage to pay my own health bills on top of the already astronomically high cost of living. Maybe if I had some of that wild socialism money they give to their workers, who work less a week than me, maybe then I could pay my health bill. Would that make me a good American, Bill? No, that was me being stupid, socialist don't pay for health care.

If it's being a good American to shut up and believe his lies so he can keep his filthy, old fingers clanged tightly to his big black pot of gold; If that's being a "good American", then I'm not sure this nation is worth the bullshit it takes to be decent in it's collective eyes. What's the point in being the richest nation if you can't use that wealth for something more than killing brown people in a foreign land? What's the point in living in this post-utopian dystopia when the people who would try to speak out are labeled as un-Americans (and in some case, literally, have their citizenship disputed)? If that's Anti-American, then I'll proudly bare that shame and shout the liberal mantra. I'll join the minority fringe that's more than half of our nation. How can you call the majority of the nation a "leftist, bomb-throwing cult of radical ideology"? Your talking points are a giant misnomer.

His original point: We shouldn't listen Barack Obama because he's trying to turn this into a communist nation (is it socialism or communist? I can't keep up) by taking care of the citizens in the nation. And hey, we're basically all good Americans as is... we donate some money some of the time, and somehow that makes up for the fact that most people can't pay for their bills, in mister O'Rielly's eyes. That's not being good enough though. You need to see through lies like "we're the best" no matter how good it feels to believe it. A lie works because it's easy to believe nice things about ourselves. You need to take a critical look at the nation and ask "what's so good about it?" There are some amazing things about the United States, like it's Constitution -- the living breathing document that's capable of changing.

Let me preference this by stating that I'm a committed Atheist. I know there is no God. There is no possibility of a God. There is no man in the sky, it's a child's fable and nothing more. I believe people who have faith in religious lies are intellectually below me. Note that this doesn't mean I'm smart, just that I'm not stupid enough to believe in something that's obviously not real.

On to my main point though: Atheism isn't peaceful. People are violent and they always will be violent. Killing in the name of God is no different than killing for any other reason... it's killing. Violence is the last refuge for the stupid, and unfortunately most people are stupid. No matter if we outlawed religion, burnt all their text, and killed anyone who believed it, there would still be violence. I wanna make a few points here in this journal post.

1. Religion is only a lie used to start wars because it's convenient. If people didn't believe in religion, they'd find some other way to rally people to kill. When your master tells you to kill, you will. You're a puppet and you have no freewill or freedom. If you won't kill in the name of God, then what about money? Economics is the number one killer. If not economics, then what about family? What about your philosophy? If all else fails, they'll simply force you to fight like they've done before. If you refuse they'll throw you in jail.

2. Populations and statistics. Atheist make up a small percentage of the world population, so you need to adjust accordingly. Let's say we have two groups. We have a group (A) of 2 million who kill 40K. Now, let's say we have a group (B) of 1 million who kill 29K. A killed more than B, but B was much more violent than A. B killed more per their group than A was. Soviet Russia, an Atheist government (yes I know they had some churches), was one of the most militarily violent nations.

Yes, the Nazi caused genocide over religion.... Why did the Atheist nation of Russia kill though? If God causes people to be violent, then why was Russia so violent? Even if most people in Russia were religious (I don't know if they were or not), it was an Atheist nation with no religious reasons to kill. It still killed. It found some other way to manipulate it's puppets and they got their way.

3. You can't compare the USA (very christian) to smaller European nations. The populations are off. Even if you compare three or four nations together, it's still not the same as a large nation like the USA. If you want to compare the USA to some other country, it has to be China or Russia. The Chinese government is known to be more hostile the US, they're pollution is worse, and their employment rates have to be low. Most Chinese leave China to illegally come to Japan for work. Much like Mexico and the USA, but rather people are leaving to come to America.

4. USA isn't violent because of religion. The United States of America isn't violent because of a high concentration of religious people.. or even guns. It's violent because we take criminals with relatively minor criminal offenses and throw them in prison. A corrupted federal prison system which teaches are criminals how to be violent psychos. Then we put them back on the street with their friends...

Most people who joined the notorious Aryan Brotherhood came in for relatively minor shit.. they sold drugs, maybe beat some people up. Low-level thugs. You wanna survive with the big dogs, you gotta suck some dicks and get some ink. The AB is 1% of the prison system, but are responsible for 17% of the murders. Then they leave their cells and come back out on the street. That's why violence is increased. We take minor criminals and turn them into monsters.

There we go.... Four simple points that smacks idiots in the face. I'm a nonbeliever, but I wasn't born yesterday. We're violent animals caught in a country that promotes violence. Atheism, Christianity, Judaism, Muslim, they're going to be violent. Government and genes are more responsible for killing than anything else.
