My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In a nutshell, I’m an outwardly quiet (initially)/inwardly animated over-educated geeky fun-loving/sloth-loving INFP veterinarian with penchants for nature (hiking in summer, cross-country skiing in the winter), movies (Amelie, Princess Bride, Juno), bad movies (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; Starship Troopers), dancing (from contra dancing to really bad/borderline-epileptic bopping to house/80s music), games (scrabble/boggle/any silly board games), and parentheses.

Despite the former convoluted sentence (that unfortunately may have scared away any copy editors or overly rigid grammarians), I'm generally easy-going: more of a work hard and play/enjoy life type than 'work hard/play hard' mentality. Playing very often involves physical activity, so it would be great to find someone that is usually up for an unplanned hike or back country ski trek through the woods if the sun is shining and the woods are calling. After failing utterly and miserably as a high-school teacher, I have a great job that supplies daily doses of novelty, surprise, comedy, and the occasional crazed adrenaline rush.

Books: Animal Dreams, 100 Years of Solitude and Snow Crash are favorites. Just finished a friend's book 'Professor Mommy' describing the challenges of motherhood in academia- highly recommend it (of course I'm completely unbiased!). Currently in the midst of Visit from the Goon Squad, Incognito, and the fifth Game of Thrones book.
I enjoy movies of almost any genre. Perks of Being a Wallflower was surprisingly good. Amelie, Princess Bride, Juno, Pi, Fight Club, and Raising Arizona have all borne multiple viewings. I'll also cop to having a real soft spot for movies like Starship Troopers, Enchanted, and Serenity.
I love live music, but don't get out as much as I would like to-- although this week I saw Trample by Turtles (surprisingly mediocre) and Natalie McMaster (great, but outshone by the step dancing of her 5 and 7-year-old kids).
