I am onomatopoetic, introverted, and larger-than-life.

My Self-Summary

I just moved to Seattle. I don't know many people here yet. But, I'm excited to live in such a big city. I feel it's important to push yourself and try new things.

Here's a list to amuse those interested: adenoidectomies, ask a ninja, berry-picking, biking, buddhism, college, community service, container gardens, cuba, dance, ddr, fashion, foreign cultures, frisbee, gardening, going to the emergency room, good food, guatemala, hiking, hot and sour soup, human services, international relations, ireland, jack russell terriers, laughing, making fun of people, mentoring, new things, nursing, oregon, pastafarianism, pictures, playing the harmonica, puppies, rock concerts, running into brick walls, salsa dancing into the wee hours of the morning, scooters, silly things, spanish, strong bad, time with family, time with my dog, travel abroad, vintage styles, volunteering, watching other people run into brick walls, world of warcraft, wicca, yoga, and apparently alphabetizing

Oh, and never forget to go to thebreastcancersite.com every day to fund free mammograms. Every day you click, you give hope to women in need. It's free!

What I’m doing with my life

I graduated last year with a degree in Human Services. Now I have a job to improve literacy in the elementary schools this year. After this position, I'm not sure exactly what I'll do or where I'll go. I want to become fluent speaking Spanish. I want to travel more. And I want to find a place where I can really make a difference.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books? I love old classics like "Catcher in the Rye" and the "Bell Jar." I also love Jane Austen. But, I can find value in all types of books.... Steve Martin for example is surprisingly, an exquisite author!

Movies - I grew up on old black and whites like Fred Astaire flicks. But here's a list of specific movies I like: American Beauty, Almost Famous, Batman Begins, Big Fish, Bride and Prejudice, Fight Club, Garden State, In Good Company, Iron Man, Kill Bill V. 1 & 2, Kissing Jessica Stein, Mamma Mia, Monsoon Wedding, Sin City, Spiderman 2, Sprited Away, Swing Time, Thank You For Smoking

Music - Floater, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Third Eye Blind, Death Cab for Cutie, Dido, Sneaker Pimps, Pilfer, Pietasters, Greenday, Goldfinger, Cake, Nine Inch Nails etc. I also really like Jazz and some oldies. I grew up listening to Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitz Gerald and Fred Astaire. So, they will always be close to my heart. - And, since I started salsa dancing, I've developed a real enjoyment of salsa music.

Food? First off, I can always enjoy a good bowl of cereal or some fresh fruit. I'm also a huge fan of chocolate milkshakes and actually I have a bit of an obsession with hot and sour soup. I like all sorts of cuisines. I love Thai, Indian, Chinese, and Cuban food. I'm actually pretty flexible with food.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Food for thought:
* You can do anything, but not everything.
* Life has to be exciting, or else it's just a bunch of Thursday's strung together.
* If you don't know where you're going, any road can take you there.
* Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
* As soon as you're born you start dying, so you might as well have a good time.

You should message me if

You should message me if you live in the Seattle area, are interested in getting to know someone new, and think we might get along.

I've met a number of really interesting people off of okCupid. So far I like the site. I will say that to make a good first impression (since everything is conveyed through the written word), I recommend using good grammar and spelling. Those things are little, but I feel it's the equivalent to wearing clean clothes and showering, when it comes to face to face interactions.

If I don't hear from you, good luck in your online ventures! =)
