My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a good sense of humor, you kind of have to being a single mom. I adopted my son a few years ago and it has been a life changing experience as it was nothing like what I expected. Even though he's a preteen I wouldn't trade it for anything.

People and memories mean more to me than things and money.

I can support the troops, but not necessarily the war.

Nail polish is a must for me, but that never stops me from getting dirty or breaking a nail...nor do I care.

I love sports! Da Bears are my favorite team all time. This is gonna be our year! I've been a Hawks fan since I was little and met Bobby Hull. I'm a little disappointed at this year's season, but I appreciate all their hard work. If Crawford was a flexible and quick as Quick we would have had it! Baseball is a mix for me. Great memories with my grandpa and godfather have made me always love the Cubs, but the rest of my family are Sox fans (including my son)...and they're a Chicago team so I'll always have a soft spot for them.

I work to live; I don't live to work.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to the gym a few days a week and surprisingly enjoying it and I started a summer reading list.

I'm also planning a road trip with my sone and niece latter this summer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Enjoying things I'm not really good at. (Cards, billards, bowling, etc.) It takes off the pressure.

I'm also really good at doing for others. I like to make soup for people when they're sick, stuff like that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think this depends on who you are and how we meet.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I will read just about anything which doesn't have equations in it. Math is not my thing. I do, however, have a soft spot for Jane Austin, April Sinclair, Virginia Wolf, and Meena Alexander.

Movies are again an all over the place kind of thing, but my ultimate favorite are romantic comedies. I love, love, love, Sabrina, Valentine's Day, The Proposal, etc. And I really don't like horror movies...suspense I can do, but not horror. I love anything Adam Sandler! He's freaking hilarious!

I love all music, but find I spend most of my time on country, top 40, oldies, latin, and classical.

Food...I like a lot of things...anything spicy or creamy and chicken and I'm down!

On television I watch NCIS, Law and Order SVU, The Middle, Modern Family, Psych, Mike and Molly, Drop Dead Diva and a host of other things. Thank God for DVR. I like to record a season and then binge later. The latest show I always make sure I'm home for is Walking Dead. I know....it's slightly horror, but really it's more psychological.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
After the whole sun, food, water thing...

-my son
-my glasses
-animals
-affection
-music
-money (it's a necessary evil)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I wish I could freeze the aging of both my oldest dog and my son. She's a senior and he's a preteen, enough said.

How I can stretch every dollar I make. I love creative ways to save money and still have tons of fun. We had a great time at the Auto Show thanks to winning a contest and great Groupon for tickets for friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There really isn't a typical Friday night, but more often than not I'm cooking dinner, talking to my son about his week and our weekend plans. We might be watching a movie and making popcorn or cookies. Maybe I'm throwing down at Connect 4. If im lucky I'm at a bbq with friends. You never know what Friday night brings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't think of anythig, but ask away. I answer almost anything.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a little nerdy/geeky or at least know the difference. You have a great sense of humor. Guys with some meat on their bones move to the front of the line.

You think we might have something in common and would like to exchange some emails or meet for coffee.
