I feel like I'm on the never ending quest to be happier tomorrow than I am today. That involves me ceaselessly over-thinking everything in an attempt to figure that out, which can't be helping. Or is it?

I'm a simple things kind of person. I like motorcycles and heavily worn in jeans "those holes aren't indecent yet, them's still good jeans," I like hiking and shit, I like doing physical work and I like hobbies. I find I'm becoming some kind of macho stereotype...which in so many ways is not what I expected out of life.

I'm trying to figure that part out.

I talk. A lot.

I never used to be but as I've grown up, sometimes I find it challenging to shut the fuck up. Don't get me wrong, I can still be kind of stoic but I get awfully talky.

Mark Twain, Terry Pratchett, David Sedaris...humorists will always have a place in my heart be they fiction or non-fiction. They tell more uncomfortable truths wrapped up in comedy. That said I grew up with reading and while I don't do it much anymore, it was a big part of making me who I am.

For movies I'm uncertain what to list. I like a lot character dramas, cute love stories, trans-humanist cyber-punk, self aware action flicks and of course comedy. A good Coen movie might get pretty close to all of those.

I like a lot of music so this list often changes but I try to give an impression of the stuff I like. Gramatik, LCD Soundsystem, Devil Driver, BADBADNOTGOOD, Good Luck, Doomtree, ISIS, Queen, Simon and Garfunkel, Anamanaguchi and let's throw in an Avett Brothers for good measure.

I need to eat gluten free but otherwise I'll eat nearly anything.
