I’m a film and theater director, writer, surfer, mustard lover and goofer. I grew up in the Midwest, came to NYC for film school and stayed ever since. I’m socially laid-back but creatively driven. I love what I do. I speak Spanish poorly and Japanese even worse. I love raging storms, bad guitar playing, board games, and the unexpected. I have no idea how to dance, but it never stopped me. I love the amazing people and creativity NYC has to offer, but I crave the outdoors and traveling, and I’m forever striving to find a balance. I’ve been exploring Indonesia lately, and love it for it's warm people and even warmer water, but also love much of South East Asia, Costa Rica, and Japan. I love exploring, whether it's the East Village or East Asia, and am always up for an adventure.

Just finished a massive 8-year project, so am taking a deep breath before embarking on the next one. Keeping my mind open for the miraculous right, and focusing on extracting the juice of the present moment. Though I love traveling, I'm focusing on laying roots. I have to visit the ocean regularly or I implode. Friends, family, laughter, and good food never seemed more luscious.

Several years ago, I was decimated by a taxi and broke most of my upper body. It taught me to live every day like it’s my last and to wear a helmet when biking (and in a courtroom.) In a way, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I don’t have a uvula. I was forced to have a uvulectomy after I got drunk one night in college, and it grew to the size of a gummy-worm. (I tried marketing “gummy-uvulas,” but it never flew.)
