My self-summary
I am the guy you see standing quietly among a group of friends. Until I get excited about something, then I am the one talking a mile a minute, hands flailing to illustrate my point. Look away and I am the quiet guy once again.

When I am first getting to know somebody, I tend to be a tad reserved, which makes starting conversations on the fly a little difficult. Once I get to know that person though, all bets are off and I have been told, on a few occasions to pipe down.
What I’m doing with my life
I am always trying to find a way to pay my bills while working less and less hours. So far, not an entirely successful endeavor. But one day I will master this skill.

I am currently not in school. I want to eventually go back and finish my degree in Botany. Maybe once I get out of debt.

In the mean time, I spend my time reading. I just finished Chrome Yellow by Aldous Huxley. Next up A Modern Utopia by H. G. Wells.

I am also rebuilding my motorcycle so I can go on my across the country camping trip. I am planning on taking my bike all across the US and visiting as many states as I can along the way. I plan on avoiding the interstates as much as humanly possible. You see so much more when you stick to the back roads. It takes longer, but it is about the journey, not the destination.
I’m really good at
-Taking things apart and not having many parts left over
-Finding obscure information on the interweb
-Pretending that I am good at pool
-Using electronics for things they are not designed to be used as
-Wasting time on the internet
The first things people usually notice about me
That's something you would have to tell me...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Brave New World, Island (Huxley), Food of the Gods (McKenna), Land Without Evil (Pallamary), The Giver, The Dresden Files, The Power of Now (Tolley), Stranger in a Strange Land (Heinlein), The Genesis Generation (Lorenzo), Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (Pirsig)

Movies: Boondock Saints, Equilibrium, Zombieland, Pride and Prejudice (don't judge me), Top Gun, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Army of Darkness, Shrooms! (terrible horror movies FTW), Back to the Future, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,Easy Rider, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Idiocracy

Music: I am a huge Classic Rock fan. That is all I listened to as a kid, so it has kinda stuck with me. Most 90's rock and alternative is fine with me as well. I am hesitant to admit that I like any of the newer Rock, it all sounds the same to me now. Does that mean I am getting old? Within the past few years I have gravitated towards electronic music. Everything from AVB to VNV.

Food: I love a good steak, but recently I have been drawn to raw vegan foods... I managed to cut all animal products out of my diet for few weeks, and felt great. So I am working to make this a more regular thing.
The six things I could never do without
1) My family, not just the people who are biologically related to me
2) Music
3) Water (not necessarily for drinking, I need to be around some body of water at all times, or I will die... no seriously)
4) My pup Huxley. He may eat iPods like they are kibbles and bits, but I still love the big doofus.
5) Books
6) My Sanity. I lost it once before, and I hope it stays put for a long, long time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-running away from it all and driving cross country until I run out of money then doing odd jobs to make enough money to make it the rest of the way,

-if my dog is a little bit 'special' or if he is a criminal mastermind who just wants me to think he is so I never suspect him of anything,

-the state of reality; is this reality IT? Or are we just in a material proving ground of sorts, setup to teach each one of us something specific. Once we learn what it is we came here to learn we are free to live as we were meant to.

-which yoga classes to take. They all seem like they would help, but there are quite a few here in town. It would take me waaaaaay too long to try them all. Any suggestions?
On a typical Friday night I am
Yeah about that... I typically work Friday nights. If I do manage to get the night off, I stay far far away from the bar scene since I am in it every other day of the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a soft spot for the platypus.
