I am funny, smart, and easygoing.

My Self-Summary

I'm a foodie. I read a lot and I think a lot. I like animals. I love the color Black. I <3 Portland.

I am one of those INTJs who has obsessive interests and becomes a near-expert in multiple disciplines. For example, I earned a B.S. in psychology, a minor in philosophy (almost had enough credits for a major), yet now work in the software industry at a pretty high level. I know a ton about geography/world culture (attended International High School).

I will do things like take up digital photography and learn a bunch of technical aspects about it and make some amazing photos; learn the ridiculously tough board game Go and get moderately strong at it; make my own web comic with graphics and dialogue and everything.

I'm a flexitarian -- not quite vegetarian, but I try. I even buy detergents and things that aren't tested on animals. I love animals.

What I’m doing with my life

-Obsessed with digital photography hobby; I'm a Nikonian and a Flickrite
-Going to the gym and enjoying weight-lifting
-Doing well at my career
-Reading, reading, and more reading
-Going to food carts almost every day for lunch... love food carts!

I’m really good at

-Making people laugh
-Being a kind person, empathetic
-Having a great memory
-Problem solving and analysis
-Computers
-Being super dooper organized

The first things people usually notice about me

I'll answer a different question:

"What's the most crushing insult you've ever heard?" Someone told me that a little boy she babysat said to her, "You're the worst thing to ever happen to the universe." I found that hilarious.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: I have been reading mostly non-fiction the last few years. Currently reading about foreign policy and photography technique. I also read a ton of news online.

MOVIES and TV: The Shawshank Redemption, The Shield (series), Solaris (2002), The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Thing, War of the Worlds (2005), The Wire (series), Zodiac, Heat, The Illusionist, Jericho (series), The Machinist, Master and Commander, Match Point, Owning Mahowny, Primer, Rome (series), The Salton Sea, Seven, The Big Lebowski, The Birds, Blade Runner, Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead (2004), Donnie Darko, The Fountain, The Fugitive, Gattaca, Glengarry Glen Ross

More TV: I am not a big sports person, but I am a huge fan of boxing and MMA. Currently also regularly watch Criminal Minds, Cops, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, Frontline, V.

MUSIC: drone, ambient, noise, psychedelic mostly. Sometimes classic rock or pop YouTube music videos. I like going to shows, although my taste in music too obscure to hear the bands I like often, it's more like once every couple of months. Most recent ones were Wooden Shjips at Slabtown and some amazing noise artists at The Artistery.

FOOD/DRINK: food carts, microbrews, Whole Foods. I love Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese.

The six things I could never do without

I'll answer a different one:

"Of all the ways you could die, which one is the most terrifying to you?" I'd have to say death by drowning at sea.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-Women
-The strangeness of life
-Technology

On a typical Friday night I am

Trying a new microbrew beer? Watching a new movie? ...having a date with YOU? ;-)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have never had a driver's license or a car. (I live and work downtown, so I can get away with it hehe.)

Here's an answer to a different query, "Which is your favorite season?"

Fall, definitely. I love the cool, crisp air. I like how the rain cleans out the air and cleans off the streets. The leaves changing color is awesome. It's chilly but not brutally cold like winter.
