I am eclectic, imaginative, and ready for adventure.

My Self-Summary

Hmm...just what should I put down here that isn't explained in the rest of my profile.

I'm a pretty easy going person and I usually try to not let things really bother me. It's pretty rare for there to not be any real common ground for me to find with someone, and even rarer for me to actually not like someone. I'm fairly new to the area, so I don't know very many people yet, but I still like to try and get out sometimes going to concerts and checking out the local music scene.

Other than that I enjoy going camping and doing other outdoorsy things, even though I really don't get to do it very often. I've also started to enjoy tennis, but I haven't had any lessons and I have very little talent in the sport. I'm also really big into college football, mainly the Nebraska Cornhuskers since that's what I grew up on.

I'm a huge fan of both beer and coffee, so I'm always on the lookout for a good bar or coffee house. Also, for the record, Starbucks doesn't count as a coffee house because Starbucks doesn't know how to make coffee.

What I’m doing with my life

My plan is to join the Navy, but it's going to take awhile because all branches of the military seem to be overmanned (stupid economy), so until then I'm just looking for a job so that I can support myself until I can join. When I actually get in to the Navy I want to go to their Nuclear Power school. From there I'll either be stationed on a carrier or a sub, though I'm hoping sub. After that I'm not sure just where I plan on going in life, but I have six years in the Navy to give it some thought so I'm not to worried about it.

I’m really good at

Hmm. Well at the risk of sounding like a nerd with no life I guess I'd say I'm pretty good at video games, though I don't think that's quite what they mean by "I'm really good at"

I'd have to say empathizing with others. I've been told a bunch of times that I've always had a big heart and that I can tend to be a bit of a bleeding heart for others, and I can see where people get that.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've never really directly asked someone about this, but I suppose it would be the generic answer that most people put up, either my eyes or my smile.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I've never been too much of a reader, but when I do read I tend to gravitate more towards fantasy books, like LOTR and such. Right now I'm in the process of reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, and they are amazing.

Movies are plentiful. A summarized list is as follows:
Donnie Darko, Evil Dead series, Shawshank Redemption, American History X, Scarface, The Godfather, Iron Man, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Sin City, 300, V for Vendetta, The Watchmen, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (original), TMNT, Ghostbusters, The Haunting (1963), Girl Next Door, The Bourne series, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk (the one with Edward Norton).

My music tastes are about as eclectic as they can be, so I'll just give a few band names and some styles that I like:
Faunts, The Misfits, The Ramones, Nine Inch Nails, Gravity Kills, Tsunami Bomb, Suicide Machines, Aquabats, The Daysleepers, Ladytron, The Bastard Suns, Nujabes (the producer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZaV-33XSHY)

Shoegaze, Newgaze, ska, skacore, punk, Electronica, synth-pop.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Oh lots of things, ranging from flights of fancy, to where I'm going in life. It's pretty hard to pick out just what.

On a typical Friday night I am

If I'm not out with friends then I'm usually at home doing stuff on my computer or playing video games. I'm a pretty big nerd so I can be very easily satisfied by just relaxing with some video games, especially if I get to do some co-op with someone.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

If you really wanna know, then send me a whisper and just ask. I'm usually a pretty open book and I'm simply too lazy to pick out something private and blurt it out.

You should message me if

What you read so far sounds intriguing and you think you'd like to get to know me better. I'm always up for meeting to people, regardless of where it leads so don't be shy.
