I guess I'm a bit of a fish out of water. I like being in nature, but live in downtown Toronto surrounded by high rises. There are things I like about living in the city though, like some of the summer festivals (jazz festival). Also, I get a good dose of nature spending some time in winter at my house on a bayou by the sea in Florida. I retired early and have plenty of free time to do things, and I want to meet new people to do them with. Ideally, it would be great meeting someone who had a fair amount of free time too. If not, then as long as you don't live too far away so we get to see each other.
I like to go for drives and hikes in the country, walks or bike rides along Lake Ontario, kayaking through the passages between the Toronto Islands (a nice mix of nature and people), and generally just exploring and discovering new things. I'm open to trying most things: we only live once. Some of my other interests include good films, photography, animals, and discussions on many topics including geography, science, and the social sciences.
I get along well with both quiet and outgoing people. The latter tend to bring out the fun-loving side of me. I'm especially attracted to easy-going, genuine, open, warm, loyal, masculine, intelligent men. And a good sense of humour doesn't hurt.
People usually say I'm loyal, sincere, gentle, easy-going, masculine, and sometimes intellectual (I like talking about ideas). But sometimes I just like having fun: I will be the person on the street dancing at the Beaches jazz festival when the whole crowd is just standing quietly listening.
Give me a shout if any of this interests you.
