My Notes edit

My self-summary

I just returned from living in Germany and am a newcomer to the Louisville/Knox area. I'm looking for interesting people because for as much as I seek out adventurous activities, a good group of friends can turn a night eating $1 fudge sundays and stargazing into a fantastic time.

What I'm doing with my life

Leading a bridge platoon in the Army. Training for yet another marathon. Trying to stay sharp for graduate school.

I'm really good at

Trying new things. Right now it's writing my 1st Graphic Novel, photography, urban exploring, travel, more travel, camping/hiking, running, unsuccessful ghost hunting, playing it Europe, reading , musical theatre, micro-brewed beer, and generally being nerdy.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

I look like a Soldier. What can I say, it's part of the job.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a) Why I Write, Down and Out in Paris and London, Keep the Aspidistra Flying, A Clockwork Orange, High Fidelity, David Boring, Blankets, The Great Gatsby, The Sapper Handbook, Survivor, and Haunted.

b) Donnie Darko, Pi, American Beauty, Fight Club, Rebel without a Cause, Eternal Sunshine, Habla con Ella, Amelie, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Laurel Canyon, Shaun of the Dead/All Zombie Flicks

c) Neutral Milk Hotel, Bowie, The Decemberists, The Anniversary, The Sounds, Streetlight Manifesto, Arlo Guthrie, The Hippos, The Eels, They Might be Giants, The Shins, Ben Folds Five, The Ramones and so many more...

The six things I could never do without

Investing, my Nalgene bottle, my laptop, my chucks, a pen, and my iPod

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What would be fun to do next?

On a typical Friday night I am

Finding adventure. Even if it's sometimes just watching a movie at home or reading at Barnes and Noble.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Imagine an human-sized, inflatable snowglobe. Well, I built one around my bed using a big fan and some starred sheets. I envisioned a surreal, magical, intimate place for a little friendly canoodeling, but once the machine was set in motion, the paper chads defiantly stung as they flew against our exposed flesh. What could have been a sacred, fantastic moment turned into two people trapped in sheets yelling "Oh god...turn it off! Turn it off!"

Lesson learned: Great in concept, not so great in practice.

You should message me if

You can brainstorm a outing.
