I try to be a good person so I can make the world a better place.

I like to help others and I can be really quiet when groups of people small talk (I want to talk about things that matter and I talk more when I'm with just one other person).

Some books I like are The Book Thief - Markus Zusak, What Money Can't Buy - Michael Sandel and The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde. Movies like Crash are great. Three examples of TV shows I like are The Graham Norton Show, 8 out of 10 Cats and What Would You Do? Some music artists I listen to are Redshield, Emancipator, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Sadistik, Dub FX and Atmosphere. Regarding food I especially like a traditional Dutch dinner or English Breakfast.

I could do without many things, but I place a high value on moral intentions, my family/friends/dogs, the information I've collected on my laptop, attending conferences (like TED), my favorite music and people who are being kind, helpful or passionate/authentic.

I think about morality a lot, but I'm also interested in many other disciplines (and I like combining ideas from different disciplines).

Every Friday night I play chess and do volunteer work at a chess club. I especially like blitz chess and bughouse chess.
