But I do occasionally take a break from reading. I like cooking, especially when I have people to cook for. I've gotten good enough at finding tasty recipes and then not screwing them up that my friends think I actually have some kind of talent for cooking. I also love going to new restaurants and trying dishes with unique ingredient combinations. When I was in high school I ran cross country, and I still occasionally do a six mile run on a whim. Recently, I have started doing a lot of backpacking. Movies are another thing I like, particularly those that make me think. I often play board games with friends, and especially enjoy Settlers and Dominion. I also do some random stuff, like going to local burns (like Burning Man, but smaller), debating philosophy, shutting down malls, and officiating weddings.
I identify as polyamorous and have been dating my girlfriend, who is also polyamorous, for about a year. Our relationship is very strong, and I care about her a lot. While I'm not averse to casual sex, I am primarily interested in establishing deep relationships with awesome people.
In case you're wondering, my friends nicknamed me Morality Mike because at the time I was really interested in exploring what it means to be moral. My views are a little more settled now, so I don't spend as much time thinking about it, but I still try to live a moral life. I try to bring joy rather than pain to those I interact with.
