My Notes edit
My self-summary
I also enjoy cycling a lot. Its nice to be able to enjoy the journey as much as the destination, and to be empowered to move, design and care for your vehicle all on your own ability. I currently work as a bike mechanic for a local community bike co-op, as well as promoting and hosting workshops and events for the shop's members. Cycle touring is enjoyable. This year I completed a 2,500km tour of Ontario's great lakes - next year, going up the mountains to Alaska is the goal.
Staff performing is one of my interests, as well as some other fire dancing techniques to a degree. I spin single staff, fire breathe, and can do single/double fire whip. Staff is my most advanced practice, and i've performed at various events. It would certainly be nice to meet others who are into various types of performing arts!
I also enjoy practicing traditional archery, and shoot a recurve bow. Its a very meditative past time.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
For music, I enjoy a lot of "steampunk"- esque stuff, like Abney Park or Rasputina. Bardi Johannsson's Haxan album is enjoyable. Really, Cellos and violins are enjoyable.
Some chill can be nice. Reporter, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, things like that. Softer stuff like Conjure One is nice too.
The odd punk music and sea shanty sort of stuff. The Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly come to mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
