About me: INTP/ENTP (have tested both) if you know the Meyers-Briggs test.... I like to think that my friends and family think of me as someone who is considerate, kind, and generous as a person, putting them first before other demands in life. That matters to me more than anything else. I like spending time out with my friends, whether that's in parties, lounges, bars, live music events, generally in smaller, less chaotic venues of the lower east side and Brooklyn (e.g., Bowery, Mercury, Rockwood, Music Hall of Brooklyn), good restaurants, sporting events, etc.
I spend other free time working out or in a couple of social running clubs (am conscious about staying in shape -- former competitive, Varsity Div I track and cross-country athlete), reading up on current events, traveling to see friends and family. Having entered finance relatively late, I am definitely in a "prove it" phase of my career, moving up the corporate ladder, but weekends and regularly some weeknights are still free (not like I-banker hours). I work as a senior associate for a large Wall Street corporate restructuring/turnaround management consulting firm.
What am I looking for? In terms of qualities, living in the moment is an important attribute for me, after being a warm person who is considerate and kind, thinking of others often. After that, good conversation, listening, and sense of humor. My date should know how to have a good time, and be past playing games. Straightforward and honest are big pluses. Finally -- drive, passion, intelligence, and political awareness/curiosity are pluses. Someone who enjoys the great abundance of good indie/alternative bands that play at small venues in Manhattan would be great. Long list I know, and ultimately I'm looking for a great person with all of their flaws and imperfections, and not a perfect list.
