My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I live in NE Minneapolis. I do environmental advocacy and computer junk. Also Scholastics.

Games and puzzles rule. Flux, chess, go, Catan and much more.

I like Sunday karaoke and rock and roll shows.

I wish I understood super-massive black holes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Inhale fumes. Exhale flames.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty good at reasoning.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Intense. Too serious. Too silly.

Books: Current reading: "I Dreamed I Was a Very Clean Tramp" the Richard Hell Autobiography Recently finished: Kafka on the shore by Murakami, Solar Lottery by Phillip K. Dick. I enjoy different stuff for different reasons but I've always kind of been a geek for sci-fi, philosophy, and some religious texts (as literature).

I tried to listen to some Richard Feynman books on tape stuff but I'm way too dumb to understand quantum physics that isn't designed for children and idiots.

Periodicals:
Scientific American
Game Informer
The New York Times
Psychology Today
Time Magazine (occasionally)

Movies (no remakes): When a stranger calls, Black Christmas, Rosemary's Baby, Anatomy of a Murder, Rear Window, The Omen, Antichrist, Memento, Pi, The Ninth Gate, Death to Smoochy, Mullholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Hellraiser, Star Wars, Drugstore Cowboy, Naked Lunch, Videodrome
I kinda liked beasts of the southern wild but the end when the pigs came to the girl... Lame. Don't ruin something cool and abstract with some bad CGI/live action merger.

Shows:Parks and Rec, The X-files, Arrested Development, Upright Citizens Brigade, Six Feet Under, Twin Peaks, Scooby Do, Star Trek (TNG and Ds9 in particular), Lost, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica (this IS the remake), Breaking Bad, The Universe, The Wire, Sherlock, 30 rock, Psych, and my secret shame- Ancient Aliens!

Music: The Stooges, Dead Boys, Big Black, Black Flag, My Bloody Valentine, Guided by Voices, Joy Division, The Misfits, Black Lips, Dust, The Buzzcocks, Decemberists, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Billie Holiday, MC5, The Bad Brains, Ziggy Stardust, Elliott Smith, Neutral Milk Hotel, NWA, Fugazi, Highway Robbery, Judas Priest, New Order, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Bauhaus, Chrome, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Ventures, Black Sabbath, The Cure, Legendary Pink Dots, Modern Lovers, The Fall, The Gories, 13th Floor Elevators, The Nerves, The Ponys, Witchcraft.
Love Richard Hell in Television and Voidoids, met him when he was in town got his book signed <3.
If you care we can discuss it further.

Food: Bold flavours. I eat sushi with a masochistic amount of Wasabi, Maximum spice in my curry. I have a few things that don't appeal to me, but in general I like everything from Thai, Cuban, Mexican, Soul food, Classic Cheeseburgers done right, bistro food, french cooking, seafood, Tibetan, Ecuadorian and fusion if it's conceptually sound and executed properly. In general, if it's done well (and isn't something like lutefisk ) I'm totally into it.
More Salt and Saffron. I have recently begun to turn against cilantro although I can't put my finger on why.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Attempting to understand the physical universe.
2. Pals.
3. My sister and my mother
4. Rock and Roll
5. Board and Video Gaming (PC, xbox, and classic console emulation)
6. Yummy and varied foodstuffs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
warp drive
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Work, homework, Rock and Roll, reading, gaming. Getting weird with friends and coworkers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
