I am one of the rare Black Nerds (Geekian Negronus), and am pretty
proud of that. You can usually find me in front of some type of
video screen... my computer, a tv playing video games, or watching
some serial tv show. I'm introverted like all hell, and my favorite
thing to do is to curl up with a good graphic novel or my DS and lose myself in a
narrative...preferably with someone interesting who is doing the
same thing.
I'm pretty tall, pretty big boned (i'm overweight. or, as i'm
instructed to refer to it, "cuddly"), and wear glasses. i usually
shave my head, and slouch in an attempt to not look imposing.
I am a living contradiction, because i don't talk all that much but
require work that makes me interact with as many people as possible
through out the day.
I have a strange sense of humor, and if i get to know you well
enough i can babble if not stopped. I'm told my ranting and raving
about things are entertaining to watch.

My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
I am in a Polyamourus relationship with my
wife of 3 years. I'm currently working at a hotel at the front
desk. Its been almost a year since I started and it seems to suit
me. i'd love to open a video game/geek store in the pioneer valley,
the only problem is figuring out how to make it profitable. plus,
you know. all the money is magic and the the magic has kind of run
out.
I'm really good at
Listening, gaming,
kissing, bear hugs, discussing various things, singing. Remembering
trivial facts about superheroes. um... getting people to relax.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
How big i am versus how small I present myself. I learned a long
time ago that many people are afraid of large black guys, so i try
to make myself look as small as possible to counter-act that.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Torso, Bone, Planetary, Box Office Poison, Gotham Central
... pretty much anything by Brian Bendis or Alex Robinson. oooh,
The Watchmen. there are more. I have a very large comic
addiction.
Movies... I love trilogies. Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars Eps 4-6. Spider-man 1 and 2 are great too. Batman Begins. The list goes on. What i really get into are cartoons: batman the animated series, Spider-man from '93. Gargoyles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Justice League/JLU. Amazing animation, storylines that just don't stop... stuff that is made for everyone, not just for kids.
Music: I have an off and on love affair with Ben Folds. I like most stuff that was made in the early to mid 90s, especially alternative and hip hop (read: stuff that is or sounds like Tribe Called Quest) and New Jack Swing. that and covers. most of my favorite songs are covers of songs that i was always meh about.
Food is kind of weird for me. i have a limited diet. pretty much just chicken, pasta, some fruits, and random junk food. don't ask me how i survive...I don't know either.

The six things I could never do without
a Computer with an internet connection, Video games, comic books, friends, silence,

I spend a lot of time thinking about
life. where i'm going. where my friends are, how they are doing. I
think a lot about self-improvement. How i can be a better person. I
think about current events (i'm a complete NPR addict...i listen to
the news all the time) and how it affects my life and the lives of
those around me.
recently i've been thinking more about self-respect and how that affects your interactions with others. how making what you need important can actually strengthen a bond with someone else. that and sometimes i think about boobs. they're interesting!

Watching something on my computer, playing a game, reading. I might
be over a friends house hanging out (it DOES happen at
times...rarely. But still!) or cooking dinner for my
house...something i try to do every so often.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
Its hard for me to trust someone face to face. i can share anything
i want over emails, IM, whatever, but when i actually see someone
unless i know i can completely trust them its hard for me to be my
actual self. it throws people off because i act more gregarious and
outgoing at face value and when they get to know me better i get
more and more introverted and reclusive.
