I am whimsical, intellectual, and magniloquent.

My Self-Summary

My name is Jonathan. I'm a self-replicating strand of DNA run amok. I'm an amateur filmmaker, but no, I don't make porn. Not that I'm against it. I just haven't had the opportunity. I make comedies, mostly, and write funny screenplays.

Ethnicity-wise, I'm Italian, Scottish, and Polish. Which apparently means I make people offers they don't understand, and I hold grudges for long periods of time. Actually, that's not me at all. Though I do like saying things people don't understand.

Now for a list of random things nobody really cares about:
My favorite color is green. My favorite number is 27. My favorite word is obsequious. My favorite genre of movie is Comedy. I love eating and drinking things that make other people uncomfortable, like lemons and tequila. I can take any scribble and make a picture out of it (haven't been stumped once). My shoe size is 12. I prefer digital watches to analog watches. I can Photoshop like nobody's business.

I'm an existentialist, but not in that dreary "God is dead" sort of way. Although, I do believe Science has killed Him. I think we give our lives our own meaning. It's up to me and me alone to decide what I want out of life, and then do what needs to be done.

I've always wanted to entertain people. Back when kids dreamed of being Firemen or Astronauts, I wanted to be a Cartoonist. Then, as I got older, probably because of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Animaniacs, I wanted to be an Animator. Then, I went to a vocational high school for Computer Animation, and realized that movies were using CGI more and more (this was 1997, btw) that what I really wanted to do was make movies!

What I’m doing with my life

I graduated UNLV with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Film Studies. Currently working as a projectionist at a movie theater while I'm looking for a job doing graphics.

I want to make a great independent film and submit it to film festivals. I don't mind the idea of being a starving artist, but if I had a choice, I'd rather be a well-fed artist.

I'm getting pretty good at the guitar!

I’m really good at

creative, artsy things, like photography, creative writing, painting, filmmaking, drawing, song writing, poetry (song writing without music), telling jokes.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know what it is, but people feel like they can confide in me. I have the most random conversations with complete strangers. So, I suppose the first thing people notice about me is that I'm the type that will listen to their terribly long stories of no real interest.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

My Computer, My DVDs, My MP3 player, My glasses, Food, Water

The last two I could try and live without if I were forced to.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how we're on a planet right now, being hurled around a ball of fire that's being hurled around the universe. Every time I start to get frustrated or annoyed, I remember how insignificant my problems are in the grand scheme of things. And how we only have maybe 80 years on this here tilt-o-whirl, so we'd better make the most of it and get the most pleasure out of our existence as we can.

... well that and how cute penguin babies are.

On a typical Friday night I am

if not working, I try to do something with friends. This could include movie night, game night, karaoke night... basically anything you can put "night" afterward.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm sick of being alone.
