Hello! My name is Alex and I am currently a third year student in college. I am currently enrolled for a Computer Science major, but I am looking into switching to Fine Arts, preferably for animation or character design. I was raised Presbyterian but I am an atheist, which I do not classify as 'religion,' regardless of OkCupid's drop-down options. I don't have anything against religion or churches in general. I think a lot of churches benefit their communities in some way, but I personally do not believe in God or any other higher power. What I'm really looking for right now is a competent partner with a great sense of humor. I love to laugh and can make light of almost any situation (for better or for worse). I enjoy satire, random humor, irony, sarcasm, and intellectual humor, but not so much slapstick. For those interested, I am a very strong INTP on the mbti scale. As for the number of questions I've answered on here, I took the statement "You'll never run out!" as a challenge. Turns out there are precisely 3760 questions... I ran out.

Still figuring that out... I love drawing and playing music, so I would really like to find some sort of career that incorporates one or both of those things. I play in my school's bands (marching, jazz, concert, pep) and I spend a significant amount of my time with my friends, whether we go out or stay in. I'm currently seeking employment to help pay off loans and cover rent while in school, but I don't really stress out over finances.

Puzzles, playing music, and drawing. I love solving all sorts of puzzles, from jigsaw puzzles to brain teasers. I own fourteen different Rubik's cube type puzzles and I can solve all of them without much effort. I also enjoy number puzzles such as Sudoku and Ken-Ken. I play several different musical instruments, although I'm most proficient at saxophone. I enjoy learning new instruments, and I have some skill in playing piano, bass, and clarinet. I really enjoy drawing, although I know I still have a lot to learn. I would love to get into comic or movie story-boarding, or even character and object design for games or movies.

If I had to guess, I would probably say they first notice the way I dress. I almost never get cold and I usually wear shorts and a t-shirt year round. I love the feeling of cold air and snow being on my skin. If it's raining or significantly below freezing, I'll occasionally wear a hoodie, but that's really just to prevent myself from hypothermia and the likes.

My favorite books would have to be the Dune saga. I enjoy the extended universe that Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert have created, but the original saga by Frank Herbert is still my favorite. I like all sorts of sci-fi, fiction, and fantasy, and I've been known to even pick up educational books from time to time.

My favorite movies are usually a mix between comedies and action/adventure. In general, I enjoy actors such as Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Owen Wilson, and Matthew Broderick. Similarly, I enjoy shows with a good sense of humor. Occasionally laugh tracks annoy me, but if a show is written well enough it's really not an issue. Among my favorites I would have to include Malcom in the Middle, Futurama, How I Met Your Mother, and Psych.

In terms of downtime music, I grew up on They Might be Giants, resulting in a love for alt. rock. I also really enjoy ska (but not so much reggae), classical, smooth jazz, some heavier rock, and select electronica (mostly Daft Punk, never really got into dub step).

Food is a tricky one... I really do not like fruits, or even most vegetables, for that matter. I love all sorts of breads and cheeses, 2% or higher milk, most red meats, and cereal. I also love starches and grains, such as potatoes and corn, and have a pretty sizable reputation with my family for eating way more mashed potatoes than everyone else... combined...
