The Lost Boys

in SPANISH! Yep I'm so bored that I am now watching the Last Boys in spanish, which is actually pretty amusing. I've seen it so often in English that I understand whats going on even though I don't speak the language. It's fun because the voice actors make it sound like a super dramatic Spanish Soap, even the parts that are supposed to be goofy. Other than that, I'm just relaxing after a long hot day at work. I feel like jumping into the kiddie pool outside with all my clothes on....hmmmm.....I'm off to grab my water wings! To the BatCave!

Dancing

So, tonight I did something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. I went to a ballroom dancing class. I kept putting it off because I didn't know where on earth I would use this talent once I had learned it. In the end I just felt like what the hell, I just wanna try it out! I ended up being the odd girl out since most of the people there were practicing for a wedding, but I think it gave me an advantage since the instructor danced with me the whole time. The instructor was a very nice older guy who taught with his wife and they were excellent dancers. So there I was, doing the waltz for the first time ever. I thought I was pretty hot stuff until we started doing turning box steps...where I learned that following someone's lead can be difficult. Needless to say thank god for the patient teacher, because I think I improved alot. Anytime you feel bad about your dancing, all you have to do is sit down for a minute and watch the others and then you realize you are not alone. Everyone is struggling and laughing and not caring. It was a blast:)Now I have just arrived home with sore feet, a better understanding of the sidecar hold, and a lovely rush of endorphins. Ok and a bit of ego since alot of the couples told me I did really well :P I am so going back next week. I recommend the classes to everyone single or couples.

Alrighty Then :P

In an effort to be more open to the universe, I have decided to post some of my poems here...but I will admit I am a novice at poetry and I will forgive you if you laugh at them :P

Well it's been along time

Since I've Seen the Sandman

He used to come around quite often to tuck me in

Until I came home one night and caught him

with the Tooth Fairy

I believe She was attempting to extract something,

and he Was going to leave some money?

Anyway, I kicked him out and had to get a roommate.

Now I have this black raven crashing on my couch

Who just lost his girlfriend, and will shout out

Nevermore! quite randomly,

usually when I am just about to fall asleep.

I was going to go stay with the Sun,

but his girlfriend Moon is PMSing again.

Must be that time of the month.

Anyway I'll be hopping along,

Strung out on marshmallow chicks until its time to

go back to work.

This seasonal work sucks.

Talk to you later,

Easter "the eggcellent" Bunny

Oh Beautiful Snow
Current mood: mischievous

Here is my cheesy ode to snow:

Oh snow so white and fluffy,

you make my sinuses puffy!

Although I love you on the trees,

Inevitably you make me sneeze.

And often under trees so grand,

slide off and on my head do land.

to cause my unaffected brain

to freeze and never thaw again.

So though i love you dearly snow,

We'll be always parted by my window.

--------------------------------------
Peace decends
A gentle hand
As Darkness lays
Across the land
Warm wind whisper
Blows the trees
Conveying not
A winter's breeze
Clouds rush on
With quiet sighs
A final run
Before summer dies
Adolescent leave
Grow old and dry
A groaning lurch
And then they fly
The earth lays back
Too tired to play
Days grow short
Sun turns away
Blue skies
Seeing the ground so bare
Send crystal dreams
To fill the air
---------------------
The wind is whispering my name tonight,

Trying to get my feet into nervous flight,

Creeping up my spine with restless fingers

Wraps around my heart and there it lingers

Waiting stars, silently expecting me

To walk outside so I can see

If they still make my heart skip

Or if I'll let a tear slip

Tonight they are to be denied

I couldn't even if I tried

No Empathy for the stars in the sky

None of them are lonely as I
