My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I would consider myself someone who enjoys humor and good stories a lot. Nothing makes me happier in the world than laughing, and the longer I live the more I want to do things that will make great (or at least good) stories some day.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am teaching 7th grade World Geography and I coach middle school track. In the summers I play as much ultimate frisbee as I can, and I do a bit of traveling. Typically I take one trip to somewhere in the U.S., and go on one trip outside the country.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding new kinds of music to enjoy, surrounding myself with intelligent and awesome people, and quoting lyrics from obscure and not-so-obscure songs.
I am also great at keeping things clean. My father was a stay at home dad and he taught me how to be an excellent homemaker.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I make lots of hand gestures when I get excited.

Food: Pizza, hamburgers, and many other items that include red meat. Even though I try to eat as little red meat as possible because of health and environmental concerns, it is still is really tasty.

Podcasts: I am really into the James Bonding and How Did This Get Made podcasts.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Laughter, music, my running shoes, a computer, books, friends, and family. Yes that is seven, but do you really care?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can get my students to learn better, and how I can better motivate my athletes to work harder. And whether or not I should eat another scoop of delicious ice cream, or if I should try and keep my thighs looking trim.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends. I might be staying at home reading, playing guitar, or watching a movie or TV show. I might be going out to dinner and hanging out with friends. I could be watching a crappy movie like Superman Three with my friends, or playing some sweet board game like Cards Against Humanity. Or perhaps me and my friends are at a bar, and I am drinking a few pints of delicious wheat beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cried when Carl Kasell did his last show on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.

-If you can play the guitar. It has been awhile since I have been able to play music with someone on a consistent basis.
