I'm new to Texas (originally from Pennsylvania) and I plan on going to grad school once I have lived in Texas for a year (and am therefore eligible for in-state tuition). I plan on studying probably Social Work, because I want my career to be centered around altruism and my desire to have a positive impact in the lives of others. For me, success is determined not by the size of my paycheck, but the impact that I have on others in this world.

Until then, I'm working the ultimate hipster job as a barista at a coffee shop and living life until grad school becomes financially feasible.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends, relaxing at home, playing ice hockey (I'm far from a superstar but it's a lot of fun, good excercise, and a good social outlet), going to shows, and travelling when I can afford to.

Keeping it real and staying positive.

I have probably a thousand different artists in my library, but in general my musical taste ranges from metal (death metal, black metal, metalcore, deathgrind, grindcore) to pop-punk, to classic rock, and I can get down with classical as well.

TV: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, Big Bang Theory

Food: Delicious dead animals. I respect my fellow vegetarians/vegans but I can't live without cheeseburgers. I'm also a big fan of sushi but, being new to the area, I don't know where around here has the best rolls. Throw me some ideas and maybe we can go check out a sushi place!

Movies and books are generally incompatible with my attention span. I inherited this trait from my father, who is a goldfish. I am, however, a huge Star Wars fan and am super excited about the recently announced trilogy.
