My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Moved back here from an internship in Asheville, NC. Working with the Florida State Park Service, doing prescribed burns as a certified wildland firefighter as well as managing hog populations, and keepin' it real.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University last April, interned with the National Park Service in Asheville for half a year, and am now working within the FL State Park system. Ultimately, it'd be pretty gnarly to make a living via sustainable agriculture. Essentially any work pertaining to my degree in Environmental Studies would have me content. When I save up enough money to purchase an abode with a yard, I wanna get a beagle and name it Beauregard!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At this point in time, probably my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Some books I've enjoyed have been Dostoevsky's "Notes From Underground" and "The Idiot", "House of Leaves", Nietzsche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and "Beyond Good and Evil", Sartre's "Nausea", The Lord of the Rings trilogy, "Edible Forest Gardening", "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed", and"American Psycho". Currently chillin' with Bertrand Russell and his "The History of Western Philosophy".

I'm pretty varied in musical taste...classical (J.S. Bach is the man), some indie (Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Deer Tick, The Tallest Man on Earth, Vivian Girls, Best Coast, Wavves, Tennis), classic 'rock' and punk (Hendrix, CCR, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys), metal (mostly black and Satanic Warmaster, Carcass, Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone, Slayer...but not many people partake, so those examples are likely moot), and Stuffff. I Hate dubstep and most electronic stuff, but some hiphop/electronic is alright (DJ Shadow, Kid Koala, Madvillain, The Avalanches, Wax Tailor, etc).

As far as movies go, again it's a mixed bag. Some titles: Pulp Fiction, Planet Terror, The Seventh Seal, Jeremiah Johnson, Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal Tennenbaums, Lars and the Real Girl, The Graduate, A Fistful of Dollars, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Kingdom of Heaven, Kill Bill, Moon, American Beauty.

Annnnnd I don't really watch TV much at all, but shows I've seen that I like include Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Office, Parks & Recreation, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Venture Brothers, King of the Hill, and The Universe.

Indian food is hands-down my favorite right now, with BBQ coming in a close second (I miss legit BBQ in the Appalachians...).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, Music, walking, thinking, flora and fauna.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Zombie apocalypse preparedness, energy, agriculture, social dynamics, natural resource depletion, passages from books, ecological succession, history, anthropology, places I want to visit, homesteading...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies-- sometimes I'm inclined to head out with friends and indulge in drinking good beer, other times I'll stick around my place and read by the pool, while drinking good beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out! old roommate got me hooked on Downton Abbey.
