What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Research. I would never have imagined this life for me as a teenager but it's pretty wonderful. I get to spend all day being creative, solving problems and discovering things that no one ever knew before.

Other than that I'm probably running or biking. My fitness goals in the beginning were to be able to touch my toes and pull myself up from a building/cliff edge if I ever found myself in a "Cliffhanger Situation". Mission accomplished!

Also cooking. I cook a fair amount and am finally getting to a place where I feel like I know how to stock my kitchen and am learning to prepare decent food.

When I was living in Michigan I spent a lot of time in my garden. I just got my garden plot here in MN and so I'm looking forward to getting back at it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told that I'm pretty good with a slow cooker. Not very sexy but practical...and tasty. I'm also pretty decent with a sewing machine. If you need some pants hemmed, I'm on it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My music tastes are all over the map. I'm always embarrassed to shuffle my MP3 player in polite company but music is my favorite thing. Best album is probably "In an Aeroplane Over the Sea".

Favorite movie is a toss up between "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "Alien/s". Sigourney Weaver kicking ass is hard to beat. "Akira" made my head explode as a kid so that movie has a warm place in my heart.

I am pro-food.

I'm am currently reading "Tropic of Cancer" cause I'm a sucker for a book about an expat. So far so good. "The Road" is on deck.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I moved here recently. Faced with a 12 hour drive to move myself and all of my things, I gave away the majority of my possessions . My pretty bare apartment is indicative of the material things important to me. I have bikes, books, cooking gear, art, music, my computer and a bunch of houseplants. I somehow lost my best choppin' knife in the move and am surprisingly bummed about it. I hope I don't awkwardly find it anytime soon though. I have a five-year-old avocado tree in my living room. Just when I thought Michigan was no place for an avocado, I moved to Minnesota. All things considered, she's lookin pretty snazzy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like to be out among the living or someplace cozy. I like to hear live music. I like museums and art. I like to go out and have a drink. MSP is the largest city I've ever lived in (except 6 months in Nagoya, Japan) and just being out almost anywhere is still exciting to me.

...or boiling the labels off of old pickle jars to add to my collection. Never know when your gonna need a jar???...ugh
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've read the entire original Dune hexalogy and I like black metal :)
