So, the boring facts first: I'm a scientist at heart, at the moment working in quality control for a global biomolecular science company (oh the thrills!), and I've just moved into a lovely apartment in Salford Quays.

I love music (mind you, how many people don't?). I'm into classic rock, pop and indie music (Beatles, Smiths, La's etc.). I play guitar and bass , although not terribly well, and sing if no-one's listening.

Activities-wise, I play badminton and football occasionally, I love watching all manner of classic and recent TV comedy (everything from Blackadder and Fawlty Towers to Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Thick Of It), and I do enjoy a bit of Xboxing from time to time.

As far as personality goes, I start out very shy, but once I get past that with someone, I try my best to be funny (not for me to say if it works), and I'm always as nice as I can be without becoming a grinning idiot. I make time for people, and use a lot of clichés.

At the moment, working most of the time to pay the rent and bills. Between that I keep a social life going, though.

My job, Beatles Rock Band... um... making toasties?

Probably the shyness. Takes a while for me to open up, but less and less each time.

(A) I mostly read non-fiction, usually books about my favourite artistes (Beatles, Morrissey etc.). I really don't read as much as I should....

(B) A Hard Day's Night, Yellow Submarine, Airplane!, Naked Gun, Life of Brian, Holy Grail, etc.. Funny films, basically. Oh, and the Indiana Jones films. Even the last one.

(C) The Beatles, The Smiths/Morrissey, The Clash, The La's, Joy Division, The Stone Roses, ABBA, Status Quo, The Jam, The Cribs, Empire of the Sun... My tastes can be odd in that if a band doesn't grab me big time, I won't bother listening to them.

(D) Most things with pasta, pizza, Chinese, Indian etc. Normal tastes, I suppose.

A guitar of some kind, shampoo/soap, my iPod (well, more the music that's on it), independence, contact lenses and telly.

Music. I fiddle around on my guitar a lot when I'm bored, I'm almost always singing something in my head.

Going out with friends from work (but not letting them push me into getting hammered!).

I've never seen E.T.

You think we'd get along...? I mean, honestly, how silly a question is this? What other reason would there be for messaging to occur? Do people sell puppies on here or something?
