I am eclectic, inquisitive, and off the rails.
My Self-Summary
Hi, I'm Chris. I am, and try to be, a well rounded person with
interests all over the map. I currently am a working
musician and teach
piano, direct
musicals, and
have an active performance schedule. I also am a full time
art and
antiques dealer which
takes up most of my day. When not working, oh wait. That's about
all I do! I enjoy hanging out with friends, visiting
museums and
galleries, going to the
theater, playing
the piano, trying new things, going for
walks, traveling, lying to children,
watching
documentaries, and
learning as much as I can
about whatever I can. If you would like to know more just ask. I
haven't bitten anyone in years.
What I’m doing with my life
What am I doing with my life? That sounds like my parents! I have a
degree in music education and used it to teach in the public
schools for about 5 years before realizing that kids are nuts. I
left teaching, kept my private piano students and began to sell art
and antiques as a hobby. Today I am happy working as my own boss
and really earning everything that I get. My work keeps my very
busy and my friends and family keep me sane. In the future I would
like to use what I have learned so far to continue working smarter
rather than working harder.
I’m really good at
I am really good at listening to other people, whether it be a
friend, a student, a client, or a colleague. I am also good at
noticing fine details and spotting something special. I have also
been known to make people smile for no apparent reason.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the first thing people notice about me is my crazy hair.
It sticks strait out of my head. Usually people notice my smile. I
am always smiling. Another thing that people first notice about me
is that I am not afraid to be myself. As friendly, strange, quirky,
and clever as I am, I am not afraid to show it. They really broke
the mold when they made me!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My favorite books: I mostly read nonfiction business books but I
also like anything by David Sedaris, short stories, and art and
antique periodicals.
Favorite Movies: I like Drop Dead Gorgeous, Moonstruck, Whatever
Happened to Baby Jane, The English Patient, anything with a good
story.
Favorite Music: I am a musician and pretty much like anything that
isn't rap or about killing, drugs, and loose women. I love jazz
standards, pop, oldies, and Puccini operas.
Favorite Food: I pretty much will eat anything. I'm not very fond
of spicy things but I enjoy eating with good company accompanied by
a friendly conversation.
The six things I could never do without
1) my mind, 2) my friends and family, 3) my glasses (I'm blind as
heck without them), 4) my Honda 5) my sense of humor, 6)my drive to
go on.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about simple things that happen in
life and how they could be better, worse, or just really turned
into a crazy situation. I never stop thinking. Maybe that's why I
can't sleep at night. I should just stop.
On a typical Friday night I am
On a typical Friday night I am either home, working, practicing the
piano, or else I'm hanging out with friends. I don't go to bars
unless I'm with friends and then I have a glass of orange juice
because I have to drive home. Now if someone else is driving I'll
gladly take a cosmopolitan. Just one will do it. (Don't tell
anyone, I'm a cheap date)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I can't stand swishy gays. I mean...I love you and all but I really
can't date a flamer.
You should message me if
I am a gay 30 year old man who enjoys his life and interests. If
you would like to join me in my nutty adventures let me know. I
would love to find someone who is interesting, outgoing, sweet, and
polite to date and eventually fall head over heals for. I really
want someone who is willing to work for a real relationship as much
as I am. I could use some romance but let's take one small step at
a time.
