I’m a cynic who works as a registrar, which isn’t great for meeting people as they’re normally there to get married or registering the birth of a child, and rich young merry widows don’t walk in the door as often as they do in film and TV.

I moved to London about eight years ago for university and never got around to leaving, well how could you with so many interesting things to do right under your nose. I spend a lot of time in the various museums and galleries especially art galleries even though I don’t ‘understand’ art, if you can understand it.

I like travelling and I’ve been to a fair few places China, Jordan, Egypt the States and even Libya, though that wasn’t recently! My real passion is scuba diving though so if I can combine the two I’m in heaven, which is how I ended up diving with Mickey Mouse in Florida. Honestly I did.

I'm writing up my PhD on the early modern diplomacy. I then plan to sell the film right, I'm sure someone would want to turn it into a film, it's just that exciting! Or it involves me spending alot of time in Oxford looking at old books and wondering why I started. You can decide the truth.

In my other life I'm a registrar marrying, people and registering births and deaths. So despite dyslexia I can spell adenocarcinoma and myocardial infarction without thinking, though I’ve probably spelt something wrong somewhere here that’s really simple. It's mostly trying not to laugh when the bride walked into American Idiot (I think it was an accident) and other odd things.
