Using the wonderful power of the internet , I drafted a short 12 question survey, and emailed it to all my friends to get objective feedback about what type of person I am. Two responses, a slighter lower than expected turn out, were returned and unfortunately gave polarised views. So I guess the following is a bit tainted but here goes. I like learning about stuff and I like to be reasonably active and I like inner city Melbourne and I like chatting about things of interest with friends. I like being in remote places where there are a lot less people or people that are fundamentally different and preferably places with one great panorama overlooking forest, sea or mountains.

I’ve tried holding my breath underwater for a long as I could bare- but quickly realised despite the amazing peace afforded that it wasn’t a sustainable living for me. I do ecological research for my work- it is also a bit of a hobby as I get to goto really awesome places – I think it is also a passion because it ties in lots of my other interests- beautiful places, physically demanding activities, working with cool smart people, or people from diverse cultures, writing, analysing and pontificating- it is not an artistic creativity- but it is a major source of creativity for me.

Perhaps my skill of making something out of nothing: a concept drawn from a clever but often under utilised sub-theory of particle physics which invokes seemingly diffuse sources of energy to coalesce matter into bland salad dressing (see olive’s opinion below).

If I ever decided to have a pet I would get a sloth, not for the curiosity of the three fingered limbs, but anything that can grow substantial fields of moss on itself, whilst alive is seriously appreciating of being in the moment.

Ok honestly: daily and seasonal movement of the sun, landscapes without humans, kids beaming smiles impervious to the world's chaos, intensity of connection with friends, lovers and that close knit circle of people you spend a life trying to find and retain.

Is it a moral dilemma to create new medicines that favor livelihoods of small sects of affluent humanity!

If I were reincarnated would I need to come back to earth?

Supposing olives could communicate, via some medium (e.g. two paper cups joined by string) would they resent their 10000 years of domestication and undue over representation in often below par salad dressings?

Hopefully not wasting time on any form of smart device/computer checking out the who's' who of Melbourne's "mostly" single folk.
