My self-summary
I'm looking for a friend in the area and maybe more. I'm new to town and looking to get to know some people. I can be professional yet geeky at heart. Maybe a little bit old-fashioned. I like to go out but don't do it nearly enough.
Guess I'm looking for someone to join in my escapades, but who can also withstand my constant monologuing. Cause I do that a lot.
I am an amalgam of contradictions. But I'm loyal and true, and honest. I always look both ways before crossing the street. Except when I don't. And I want to live in New York once, but leave before it hardens me. Is San Francisco in Southern California? Cause I'd like to live there too.
I self-publish novels in my spare time and love to play guitar. I'm an open book, ask me anything.
What I’m doing with my life
When I'm not at work I love to write, play guitar and be artistic in general. I also really enjoy the hiking trails - there's an amazing mountain and state park just near me and it's incredible to go out there and just enjoy nature.
I'm not a fanatic about things like that, but I really enjoy getting in touch with nature. It makes me better at my job, which is in a bank call center. And I actually like what I do - how many people get to go to work and say that, huh? Anyway, that's what I do with my life, if you read this far.
I’m really good at
Guitar and writing - whether it's songs or stories, I am told I do well. At my job I talk to people a lot, so I suppose I must be pretty good at that. I'm good at driving, and playing 80s-90s video games. I've found in living on my own that I'm good at keeping a clean home and I guess that's kind of important.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know what people notice about me. I try to be exuberant and outgoing, but how am I to know what others are thinking? Some people might notice my hat, others might notice a graphic tee I happen to be wearing. Still others might not even notice anything. How can I tell?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many to name but here's a few: True Blood, The Dresden Files, Watchmen, A Game of Thrones (book and movie). But I also like classics like Star Wars, Goonies, Ghostbusters and the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Also I'm a horror movie junkie.
The Beatles are and always will be my favorite band. If you ever do see my Blu-ray or music collection you'll understand the meaning of "eclectic."
The six things I could never do without
My guitar, my laptop, my iPod, a notebook and pen, some clothes and my cat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How do they get that little bit of peanut butter inside a Peanut M&M. And can Goofy be a dog? Because, he wears a hat and drives a car... Just sayin'...
On a typical Friday night I am
Curled up on my couch with a good book... Or out at karaoke!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Deep down, in the deepest recesses of my soul, I really and truly wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener. Because then, the world would truly be in love with me.

  • Everybody
  • Ages 23–37
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You are young at heart, ambitious, well-spoken and well-read. Open minds only, please. It would also be nice if you enjoy talking geek speak and have a favorite scientist, classical composer or Doctor Who villain. All three of those would pretty much be a jackpot!
