My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm Andrew. Seems I've spent half my life waiting to meet the person I'll spend the rest of it with.

Hoping OK Cupid may help that happen...

That doesn't mean I'm after perfection. Actually, I probably am - aren't we all - but not perfect in that impossible, unachievable and I guess unsatisfying way, I mean: 'perfect together'. I believe, when you have the right people together, they're better than one plus one. They're two and a bit. And that's what I've been waiting for. I'm far from perfect, that's certain, and while I put myself under lots of pressure to be my best I still fail and make a mess of things.

I'm just hoping to meet that person with whom life truly comes alive.

Some recent highlights of mine so far - that might give you a sense of me include - include;

Getting a hug off Tricky at his Bristol gig. Hiking along the oldest part of the great Wall of China. Hiccuping for 36 hours. Running my first half marathon in 1:47. Cycling down the world's most dangerous road. Discovering photography. Taking the plunge and moving to the other side of the country. Hitch hiking around Japan. Managing to walk to the pub for a light lunch after fracturing my pelvis dislocating my shoulder and cracking two ribs, mountain biking! Visiting the Dalai Lama's birthplace in the mountains high above Shangri-La. Pulp headlining Glastonbury! Launching my biz Saigon. Finding I have Ronnie Size as a neighbour! Sleeping in a capsule hotel in Osaka. Buenos Airies. Staying sane on a 67 hour coach trip.

And a whole heap of normal down to earth every day life stuff inbetweeen :)

Looking forward to whatever life has up it's sleeve. Would be twice as nice to share it all...!

Hoping this offers some sense of who I am. Would be cool to hear from you if you feel some spark of recognition in any of this.

What I’m doing with my life

Winging it
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Forgetting stuff. Staying inquisitive. Having hobbies. Asking questions. Getting out of the city. Listening. Patting dogs. My work. Taking a chance. Putting others first. Getting muddy. Making things happen. Sticking to my principals. Making friends with strangers. Being practical. Seeing things differently. Turning up on time. Forgetting stuff.

Music: my tastes are getting broader and broader. I grew up with classical, 80's and electronic, so those are big influences. The 90's were my college years. House music and DJ culture are big for me. Also, Radio 4, 6 Music, 60's, The Cure, Arcade Fire, Swing, Bowie, Bent, Massive Attack, new Radiohead, new Oasis, etc etc. Try to get to gigs and nights fairly often, though am definitely slowing up. Glastonbury and Shambala this year :)

Movies: where to start! Anything epic, beautiful, funny, poignant or gets you thinking - comedy, highbrow, documentary, arty, etc.

Books: always got something on the go! Novels and lots of non fiction, travel books, photography works, all sorts really

TV shows: comedy, documentaries, usual.. Not really into football, don't get computer games. Can't stand celeb culture or anything fake.

Food: er, did someone say food? :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My mates, my folks, tea, good luck and being outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Fried, but happy. Planning my demise / escape
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm a massive geek. Slightly scared of large spiders. Can't dance that well. That's probably enough for now.....
