My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Musician, engineer, part-time insomniac.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I studied electrical engineering at the U of M and currently work for an industrial automation company. I'm passionate about computers and electronics - figuring out how things work, programming robots, driving out to fix my parents' crappy internet connection.

I spend much of my time writing and recording music. I play several instruments, guitar being my favorite. I've played in a few bands, the last of which was a 90's cover band, and I'm looking to start another soon. I sing occasionally but I dislike the sound of my singing voice. It does get a little better when I'm drunk though.

I write a lot. Currently working on a few stories and I plan to finish at least one of them by the end of the year. One day I told my friend, "I hope one day I write a book that'll be sold with a blue sticker at Goodwill for $0.99..."
"Well if nobody buys your book, you could just donate it to Goodwill yourself."
So that's the plan.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Well I often wear t-shirts with dinosaurs or ninjas on them so there's that. Just don't let me catch you eyeing my body like some piece of meat. My face is up here.

My listening taste1 is a little odd. My go-to Pandora stations are The Fall of Troy, Minus the Bear, White Stripes, Protest the Hero, Weezer, The Dear Hunter, Dillinger Escape Plan. I admit that I don't like everything.

Some of my favorite authors are Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck palahniuk, Mark Z. Danielewski. I prefer first-person POV over third, typically. Currently reading Catcher in the Rye.

I've given up on cable TV, the only things I watch now are Netflix and sports.

I hate mayonnaise.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My laptop - it's how I make money and put food on the table.
2. The internet - I rely pretty heavily on the collective knowledge of the human race, plus there are cats
3. My family and friends
4. Whiskey
5. Music
6. Additional whiskey
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what I want vs. what is best for me. How I can get paid to do what I enjoy rather than making compromises in my career.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably pulling an all-nighter at my practice space and quietly swearing at the shitty hardcore band across the hall.
