I have now lived in the Bay Area longer than I have lived any other single place. So I am the non native loyal son.

Though my area of Bay Area studies is the ins and out of the Beast (Remember kids East Bay is just pig Latin for beast).

I just got out of a year and half relationship, so I don't know what I'm looking for. Just being honest.

Living in Oakland. Bartending in said city, and also in SF. Trying lose more weight and generally changing the way I live my life. I've lost 80lbs over two years. So I'm on my way.

I am a soulless ginger or that I am huge. Often my tattoos as well. Also I am totally loud. I'll tone it down, but yeah I can kick out the decibels. I'm also pretty crass.

I will read most anything given to me. Currently I am reading Sit Down and Shut Up by Brad Warner. It is a punk rock take on the teachings of the Dogen.

I have soft spot for fiction and pop culture since I read a lot of historical texts. I also enjoy essays, historiographical books, classic literature, really anything that is well written. Some authors I am rather particular to include, Brett Easton Ellis,Chuck Klosterman, Chuck Palahniuk, Marcus Aurelius, Stephen Brust, Steven Pressfield,Brad Warner, Herodotus, H.P. Lovecraft, Ian Flemming, Tim Robbins, Douglas Adams, George RR Marten, Terry Pratchet, Neil Stephenson, Cicero. Charles Stross, Ernest Cline, just to name a few.

I love Horror, comedy, suspenseful drama, thrillers, and 80's movies. Directors I like include,but not limited to, Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Wes Craven, Mario Bava, Sergei Eisenstein, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Jon Favreau, Akira Kurosawa, Jon Hughes. Really anything of substantial talent. However that does not always hold true IE Rutger Hauer and Billiy Zane. Hell, I even like their films. I dig Bond films. Even though that kinda makes me feel a little (I am not happy about this) misogynistic... I mean come on. Have you ever seen a pre 2000CE Bond film? If so you get my drift.

I love TV shows. However I don't watch regular TV, I Hulu and Netflix the shows I like. The Venture Bros, Metalocalypse, The League, Archer, Squidbillies, Community, The IT Crowd and Psych are on the top of my list at the moment.

Older shows I like include the Invader ZIM!, Young Ones, Defying Gravity, Spaced,The IT Crowd, Kids in The Hall, Tour of Duty, Liquid Television,Hyper Drive, The State, Twin Peaks, Cop Rock (I kid, I kid. it just aired right after Twin Peaks when it originally aired. worst pairing ever), The Prisoner. Things to but not limited to things like that.

I tend to go to rock and punk shows the most. But I am down to check out that band you wanna show me! Been to a lot of punk rock bluegrass shows lately. A fair number of them at a Tattoo Shop in SF!!!

Ella Fitzgerald, Bad Company, Girl Talk, TMBG, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash (Always in rotation) The Misfits, The Ink Spots, Frank Sinatra, The Pixies (again always in play), Iron Maiden, The Calamity Cubes!, Deep Chatham, and Fitz & Tantrums

Japanese, Thai, German, Hawaiian round out my favorite foods but I just enjoy something tasty.
