My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
I'm currently working as a VJ (visuals jockey) at the Wildcat
Lounge in downtown Santa Barbara. (You know how when you go out
dancing and all the lights are moving in time to the music the DJ
is spinning? Well, I'm the guy who makes that happen. It's actually
a lot of fun.)
Most of my free time is spent drawing or animating (I am learning the classic, disney style of animation, so I do a lot of drawing!) In the past, I have sort of lacked focus in honing my artistic talent, but I am now very determined to make the jump to the professional level.

Well, besides artistic stuff, I'm a really good listener and I make
a pretty mean omlete.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Probably that I don't talk a whole lot, guess I'm more of a
wallflower. Also, that I am kind and usually think of other
people's needs before my own.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I hate having to narrow down my favorites, but here goes...
BOOKS: Catcher in the Rye, Snow Crash, Persepolis (do Graphic Novels count?)
MOVIES (I'm an admitted film buff/snob so these are just a few of the many, many movies I love): Metropolis (1927), A Clockwork Orange (and everything else Kubrick), Akira, everything by Miyazaki (especially Princess Mononoke), American Beauty, Magnolia, BLADE RUNNER (so ground-breaking it requires all caps), Memento, Pi, The Iron Giant and of course the masterpieces created by Pixar (my favorite is still The Incredibles.)
MUSIC: Radiohead, Bjork, Massive Attack, some hip-hip (mostly older stuff), jazz (especially Dizzy and "Bird" Parker), most House music.
FOOD: I love seafood, especiallysushi), I also love Tai, Chinese, and Italian food.

The six things I could never do without
My family, love, drawing, the ocean, cats, and movies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All kinds of stuff: far away countries I'd like to visit, living in
the distant future, movies I'd like to see (or make), what it would
be like to live in the wilderness with no people around, how
amazing it is to be alive...
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going to a movie, attending a figure drawing class (yes, I
draw naked people), or hanging out at a nightclub downtown. Or,
like a recent Friday night, I might do all three.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
Even though I've lived next to the ocean my whole life, I almost
never go swimming because I'm afraid of sharks. I know, the chance
of a shark attack is very, very slim, but for me just the fact that
there is that chance is enough. More than the idea of being eaten
alive, I think it's that you usually can't see what's around you in
the water.
