I am brooding, intentional, and quick to smile.

My Self-Summary

On Wednesday's, I wake up at 10:30 AM and head to SoHo to work a lunch shift. I work with a chef named Jorge - Jorge and I get along pretty well, though we have large language gaps between us. He loves "Oh! Darling," by the Beatles. I generally read the Daily News and do the crossword puzzle while handling tables, and when I'm done at 4 PM, I head over to the Angelika to see if anything is playing. If there's nothing playing, I walk down Broadway and look at sneakers, or go to Uniqlo and imagine new outfits for myself.

At 6 PM, I head to DUMBO to work a bartending shift; I try to get in before my shift so I can eat something protein-ish, to make it through the night. I generally have a caffeinated drink (usually Yerba Matte) around seven. I try to eat around 10-11 PM, just so I have something to look forward to from 9 PM on. After the kitchen closes at 11 PM, I usually have an alcoholic drink - normally either a Perfect Manhattan or a Vodka Soda with Lime.

We typically close around two, at which point I either have another drink at work, stop by the bar across the street for a night-cap, or I head to the train to try catch the F... the F has run once in my history of attempting this. Disheartened, I try hail a Yellow Cab, as they're always cheaper than the Livery Cabs, but it's rare that they're running around that hour in DUMBO.

When I get home, I usually listen to Sam Cooke, or Jenny Lewis, and I spend an hour or two on the computer before heading to bed.

This is pretty much my life.

What I’m doing with my life

In Plato as well as in general speech there is a form for every object or quality in reality: forms of dogs, human beings, mountains, colors, courage, love, and goodness. Form answers the question "what is that?" Plato was going a step further and asking what Form itself is. He supposed that the object was essentially or "really" the Form and that the phenomena were mere shadows mimicking the Form; that is, momentary portrayals of the Form under different circumstances. The problem of universals - how can one thing in general be many things in particular - was solved by presuming that Form was a distinct singular thing but caused plural representations of itself in particular objects. Matter was considered particular in itself.

I’m really good at

Writing profiles in my own words.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm a smart-ass, more than likely.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Murakami, Garth Ennis, and Neil Gaiman.

The Road to Wellville.

Sam Cooke, Tool, Jenny Lewis, 2Pac, and everything in between.

Sushi.

The six things I could never do without

Da internetz, music, friends, booze, sex, funny shit.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I try not to think about things - the more I spin the wheels, the less I do.
Music, and boxing/MMA take up too much of my brain time, though.

I also do a lot of crossword puzzles, which I'm decent at, and Sudoku, which I'm legitimately good at.

On a typical Friday night I am

Indoors. I work all day and night Saturday/have no life.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm willing to admit a ton, just ask.

You should message me if

You're completely awesome.

Also, if you don't know the difference between your, you're, or use "ur" in a completely non-ironic way, you probably shouldn't message me. Same applies to their, there and they're. Please know the difference - sincerely.
