I was born and raised in the Adirondack mountains in New York, so I love to hike and be out in the woods. I'm not much of a city girl, but I'm making do here. I went to school for sculpture in Western NY, south of Buffalo. I have a very useful (not!) BFA in sculpture and now I work at a bookstore...

I moved to Baltimore about two years ago to go to graduate school at Towson. So much for that, it was terrible. But I found other reasons to stay in this lovely town and so here I am.

I love making things out of clay. Pottery is my passion and I can't go very long without making something.

I hate aspartame.

At the moment I work at a bookstore and I really love my job. Free books for me. I am moving toward becoming a professional artist, and hopefully that will take off one of these days.

What I want, however, is to work in a studio and teach pottery and get paid for what I love. Ooor I want to buy some land and set up a sweet studio and build a sweet kiln. However, I'm content at the moment and I'm still young so I'm in no rush.

Making pottery and drinking beer. I'm good at carrying on about pottery and drinking beer at the same time, most likely to the unsuspecting person at the bar sitting next to me who was unfortunate enough to ask what I do.

But really I can talk about other things too! Really!

I love to smile alot and I laugh a ton.

Booooooks. Yes, I love books. All kinds, but right now I'm really into reading about religious history, but I'm not religious. I have a hankerin' for history books as of late and I just picked up a book about Columbus and a book about how the Irish saved civilization... I didn't know either! My favorite fiction writer is Tom Robbins. I looooove him! And for all of you who live in Baltimore and have never been to the Book Thing or don't even know what it is, for shame!

My favorite movie is the Big Lebowski. And then I like Spaceballs, Children of Men and Black Snake Moan. I'm not a really big movie person, I find that most movies are disappointing, but my arm is easily twisted into sitting on my butt for two hours.

I love to watch live music DVDS! My favorite music includes the blues. That incompasses Delta Blues, Chicago Blues, Texas Blues, electric blues, new blues, old blues, blue jeans, blue skies, blueberries and Captain BlueBear (my favorite color is not blue). I am also a Grateful Dead freak, I'm a bit of a hippie.

Sushi, mexican, and cheeseburgers! However, I love breakfast the most. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, bagels, omlettes, frenchtoast, sausage! Any combination of the above foods. If you make me breakfast in bed, you've won my heart (but don't try and get away with cereal).

I think alot about pottery. What to make, how to make it, what glaze/slip to mix next, when and where I'm going to finally build the kiln of my dreams.

Other than pottery I think about politics a ton. I watch CNN to get the news and then Bill O'Reilley and Fox when I want yell at my tv and get out some good aggression.

Usually out at a cheap bar or at a friends house having a few beers. Most likely at Chris' playing Guitar Hero. I love seeing live music so I try and do that as often as possible as well.

I like beards.
