I am quirky, thoughtful, and bubbly.
My Self-Summary
I am very outgoing and very much a people-person. I am the kind of
person who will strike up conversations with pretty much anyone if
the moment is right. I think it's really special when you can find
people, platonic or otherwise, who you can connect with.
My energetic outlets are varied. I enjoy biking, but I am a sissy
when the bad weather comes around. I like exploring the
Boston/Cambridge/Brighton dance scene, though not much of a
"clubber". I like dancing to motown/funk most of all. Recently have
discovered how cool hiking is! I am definitely not a pro, but we
hiked Mount Adams this summer and it was so cool!
I love languages, it's just another way to connect with more
people. I was a Spanish major and have begun listening to a free
podcast, "Coffee break French", which is pretty neat. It's free and
taught by Scottish people-go figure?
Apart from language, my other loves are film and NPR. I am a bit of
a netflix junkie these days and really appreciate a well made movie
that makes me think, scares me, keeps me in suspense, or just keeps
me entertained. NPR is a life-sustaining force...My favorite
programs are "
This American Life" and
"Wait, wait, don't tell me".

What I’m doing with my life
Dónde vivo?
I am living in JP, a transplant from o'er the river. I lived in
Somerville for about a year before moving here, and previously have
always been a MA resident.
Qué pasa?
I study Spanish independently and hope to return for a program on
study in October 2010.
I work in healthcare as an administrative assistant, 9-5. I
recently started a part-time gig as an Editorial Assistant for an
academic journal-wOO. I am having a fun time with job número
dos.
I'm a lifetime learner...I learned to swim last fall and I'm
gradually learning to cook. I <3 learning and I am a geek for
trivia.
I’m really good at
I am very conscientious to a fault and very inquisitive
I am good at completing to-do lists.
I have a lot of trivia stored up in this brain of mine.
Also a great s-p-e-l-l-e-r.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have begun to fine-tune my secretarial style at work. I have
started 1960s inspired outfits. "Mad Men" has influenced this
greatly. My lipstick can be borderline obnoxious.
I am a very "I-wear-my-heart-on-my-sleeve"-kinda-gal.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My favorite books:
A Widow for One Year, The Bell Jar, The Quiet American, A Prayer
for Owen Meaney, Middlesex
Currently reading: The End of the Affair by Graham Greene
Movies:
I am a cinephile and a netflix junkie.
I prefer the following genres: indie, foreign, drama,
suspense
Favorite movie: Ma vie en rose.
TV:
Obsessed with Mad Men, but sadly-no cable!!!
Music:
Feeling the funk/motown these days, but this rotates with slow
jams, mellow music, and of course, 90s alt rock hits.
Food-Likes:
Sushi, pan-popped popcorn, pretzels, diet coke
Bread, olive oil, cheese
Food-dislikes:
Large hunks of barbecued meat on the bone
The six things I could never do without
THINGS:
1. flip flops
2. diet coke
3. wine and cheese and bread and garlic
4. music
5. means of communication-my friends are all over
6. car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The way people interact, the relationships we hold with those
around us, humor, film.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I still have the energy reserve, I am out and about with
friends. If not, I re-charge and get out Saturday night. You'll see
my busting a move at Zuzu, the Cantab, or wherever the music is a
rockin'.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am pretty clumsy.
...I also used to REALLY like X-files.
