My self-summary
I'm a single mother of twins that is currently working on my
Nursing degree. I am a very compassionate and friendly person, but
also very driven and goal oriented. I'm open to almost any new
experience, within reason......(no Polar Bear Club for me....or
Swinging....) I'm very passionate about my career choice and
finishing my education. I can be a sort of Know-It-All when it
comes to certain things, but I just need reminded (politely, of
course) that I don't have all the answers sometimes. Other than
that, you'll have to find the Holy Grail and present it to me on a
bed of Rafflesia petals to find out more.... ;p......ok, ok, I
guess you could just ask....but I do really like the idea of
finding the Holy Grail.
What I'm doing with my life
I'm currently working with Oncology patients at a well known local
specialty hospital. I love what I do, but I have soooo much more
potential. Soooo, I'm currently working on the first part of my
total Licensure and career plan. My ultimate goal to become a nurse
educator or even possibly a school nurse. I would love to work in
pediatrics, but I'll just have to see where my career takes me. You
can't always choose where your strengths lay. So only time will
tell where my destiny awaits.
I'm really good at
I'm a great cook! And I love to cook for others! I love taking care
of people and educating them about health concerns. I love being a
mom. It can be a little taxing at times, but it truly is worth all
the stress. I'm an excellent student and won't sacrifice my studies
for anything but my family. I'm also a pretty kick *ss friend, or
so I've been told.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
My eyes. For whatever reason, it's always my eyes. Then they notice
either how friendly I am or how quirky. (Depending on my mood and
caffeine levels)Also, I'm very confident and I tend to make other
people feel at ease. At least, I try to.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Fear and Loathing is a classic. I'm a sucker for Gone with the Wind
too. I love Johnny Depp, and will watch anything he's in. Other
than that, I'm up for anything. As fare as music is concerned, I
like pretty much anything except showtunes. Most new age stuff
really gets on my nerves too. It's just too fake. With books, I
LOVE Anne Rice. I've been known to appreciate a good Stephen King
novel as well. I wish I had more time to devote to reading.....
With food, I love fresh foods. Fruits, veggies, etc. And, of
course....I'm a sucker for Italian.
The six things I could never do without
1)Kids (mine) 2)Water 3)Air 4)Family and friends 5)Compassion
6)Music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, raising my children, my goals, how to improve.
Somehwhere in there a little voice telling me "maybe you should go
to med school...." Where the hell they came up with my personality
traits from....It's making me a little self conscience....geez....
(yes, I have earned the "more prone to inflated ego" one....)
On a typical Friday night I am
Either curled up under a blanket with my two little ones watching
Futurama or some
random Disney flick or meeting up with some friends to blow off
some steam.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
Well, I can be a little quirky, but you'll just have to get to know
me to appreciate it. It's never too major, just something to make
me unique.
You should message me if
You want to meet someone new.... You can appreciate the things
you've seen here.... You're a fellow closet nerd ;P.... You suffer
from Tourette's Sydrome and feel compelled to share your thoughts
with me.....You're the Dalai Llma or the Pope and wish to offer me
some wisdom.
